Animal lover here too, against animal cruelty but in this case I try not to think about the whole process of hunting/game to where it reaches my plate.

Nice Animal

I'm so sick of chicken and beef, where i live you don't have access to fresh game. Whole foods has some but Frozen and a lb of elk,bison or ostrich will set you back $$$$.
Sometimes i wish I had a big ass ranch out in the boonies!!


BTW the first kill shot is perfect and humane no suffering for the animal.

Venison....its whats for dinner!!! 90% of what i eat at my house...but man what i wouldn't give for some more elk...killed one last year..that sucker is gone! but damn it was tasty!!

nice pics! I havnt hunted in over 20 years and took over a ranch last year which hunting was a perk. 2000 acres to myself and I unded up with a 10pt buck and 3 doe. processed them myself and loving the meat in the freezer. nice lean meat for the bulker! the hunting bug has bitten me hard. may bag a couple more before season is done!

I buy buffalo buy the halfs. All steaks or ground. No roast

Never tried elk. Venison i've ate for years.
