Good point on the dieting down and seeing what's up as RC is doing his levrone right now gaining mass and cutting up so he looks better. Don't count on Dennis Wolfe getting top 6 at the O this year he's still recovering form the dry screwing he got last week at the NY Pro, he shoulda won.
can you believe that?
seriously, wolf, to me is what bodybuilding should be about- muscualrity, symmetry and conditioning.
i could understand if branch (and no disrepect to him at all) out muscled out and out conditioned him- they were both on par. throw in wolf's aesthetics and that should have put him over the top. judging from the pics at MD, i'd say wolf was sharper, but this is an 'imo'.
it seems the 'fan' movement in bodybuilding these days, and rightfully so, is returning to the quality of the physique, rather than the sheer size of it, but the IFBB seems to be having a difficult time rewarding those types of physiques, which is sad- anyone of those guys can add slabs of muscle- they are the genetically eltie- but how many can make it look aesthetic? thats the trick, and what bodybuilding should be about.
wolf, rockell, melvin, victor, dexter, cormier in his prime- these are the types of physiques the IFBB needs to begin rewarding before bodybuilding becomes a sport that fades back into the dark ages before arnold and sergio got ahold of it.
as for ronnie. wow, the man is a freak- i too have always thought his best look was when he was lighter. for some reason he's losing his defintion, despite coming in in great conditioning. his back last year lack any king of real seraration- it almost looked as if, i dunno, all the muscle was growing into eachother?
i hope the IFBB wakes up some day and realises the premise of what this sport was built on before it's too late.
