From past experience i have found that i have the greatest increases in strength when using 5x5 with first compound lift.

But I feel that my muscles feel the fullest when i use fts at the end of my workouts.

In the past I have always focused on 1 type of training each workout.

So i figure I will combine the two things that seem to work best for me.

Here's the plan:

Day 1. Deadlift 5x5
2. Bench 5x5
3. Squat 5x8
4. Push Press 5x5
5. Pullups 5x5
6. Dips 5x5

Each exercise would be followed by fts-7 with a supplemental exercise of whatever I wanted to isolate that day.

Rest will randomly be added as necessary or when I cant make it to the gym.
Will be working out 4-6 times/week.

Anybody ever done anything similar?

Any critiques?

., yes. I'm glad you resurrected this thread. I'm curious what people think about it. Of course I can't tell you what I do, because I'm working with a trainer that I paid for. Isn't that the rules? But the 5x5 w/ fst 7 sounds pretty good. I have never done it, though, so I can't offer any commentary. But, I was always curious about it, and have pages and pages of saved research about it.

5x5 for one exercise per day. Followed by fts-7. Which is basically a higher rep exercise which extreme stretching in between sets. You are best off searching fts-7 because my explanation does not do it justice.
 
Let me know how that goes, it seems solid. Will you be training 6 days a week? Each exercise follow by the FST-7 exercise?
