My gf just got excepted into lawschool in NC , she scored the highest in her entire class at criminal law so now other schools want her , the thing is NC is way far from AZ and i dont plan on flyng around alot , so i was possibly thinking of making a move there and renting out my house here in AZ, the thing is i have no clue what its like and if its a good move but i have enuff money saved and money from my rent here will give me a huge house to rent there so im taken care of on the financial part of things , just wanna know what to expect cause me and my girl have no clue what NC will bring.

My cousins live out there and they moved there from L.A...They love it...Houses are cheap and its nice and green...I use to live in FL and I think the NC weather is kinda the same hot and humid...humidity sucks...

I lived in NC for years what part? I lived near Ashville NC and can tell you that i like FL much better, just me. I weather is nice in the summers around 77 or so but the winters get pretty nasty.
--If you are near Charlotte then that is a diffrent story. I know that is a pretty nice city and alot of places to train.
---People are alot more laid back in NC as well. But there isnt much in terms of ethnicity, where i lived people were pretty prejudice which i did not like.

-Side note- If for some reason you are in need of a bottle of test expect to pay near $200 for 10ml in the local gyms and that is if you find one lol.

Vander, I live in NC and will be applying to law school for next year. You will like it in NC... Good weather, mild winters etc... People are very laid back... It would be a good place to go to law school because there isn't a whole lot to distract you... And trust me from what I hear the first year of law school is an ass kicker... Let me know where she is going and I'll fill you in on what I know about the school and the area...

Agreed the winters are nasty. Cold and rainy. Lived in Wilmington. UNC at Wilmington. LOTS of fun down on the beach.

ok so far it seems like its divided half and half good summers but lousy winters, im not planning on living there for more then the school yr , my girl is in her 2nd yr outta 3 so i thought maybe id go for a yr and check it out , so far im confused on what to do , not sure if ill like it , i need some more info and specifics not sure what i should do.

I think if you are from NC then you probably thing the winters are good. However if you have lived in a warmer climate then they may not be too nice. Also depends which area you are going to be in. And since the school year is in the winter you are there for the worse part.

Don't get me wrong it is NOT like living in Buffalo during the winter but it is wet and raw.

There are ALOT of things to do if you live near the coast. Myrtle beach is only a short drive away plus alot of other great places.

Keep your options open.

Go out with the idea you are going to give it a month or 2 and see how it goes. If all is well THEN rent out your place in AZ. You don't want to rent your place out, move to NC, decide it is not for you and then go back to AZ and have to rent a place from someone else.

BTW if you don't get a job there or something it could get old pretty fast.

Tell us about were you will live.West has more snow East has a lot
less.

I you are moving to the triangle area I'm your man. I love it here. I don't know who said it about winters being bad because it may snow 2 time per year tops. Matte rof fact it was in the 70's in this past january and snowed only in feb or march I think. It lasted maybe three days before the sun melted it all. Also talk to Massive G he's from here too.

I go to nc every year at least twice and i like it. Its cheaper to live down there, the people are nice. The winters im sure are going to be colder then az but i was there in feb and i was in a t shirt. They did get some ice last winter but nothing major. Shit in pa it sucks for weather. I like the place and would give it a go. I was near greensburo in feb small towns but they do have some things to do movies malls water parks... Then i go to the beach once a year also great water nice beaches. Shit pack your bags bro. Hope this helps some if you have any specific questions pm me and im sure i can help you more. Anything you need to know about this shit eating state i can tell you.
Just ask. I have lived here every single one of my 34 years of life.
I live 40 minutes from Asheville .... 90 minutes from Charlotte. I have been to every "interesting" place in NC.
My winters are COLD (stays around 35 degrees during winter)... My winters are HOT (Its been 90+ for 5 straight days... but the kicker is the humidity).
Bro - I know AZ is hot... i have been there, i have felt it ... but its ALOT hotter here at 98 then it is there at 98 because the humidity is HORRIBLE.
We havent had alot of snow the past few winters... actually its been a little warmer then normal during winter.
Charlottle is ok to visit but it would suck to live there. People here CAN NOT FUCKING DRIVE. Charlotte is the WORST.
There are alot of good clubs ect in Charlotte though. If i where to pick where i would want to live in NC i would say Asheville or Wilmington.
Both are VERY nice places... mostly nice people. But... THEY STILL CANT DRIVE WORTH A SHIT!
Cops SUCK in my town... and all the surrounding towns. They make a 2 plant pot bust look like a Pablo Escobar bust.
They look at steroids like its the devils blood. Juice is hard to find (unless you know me

) in local gyms and like the other bro said... it is HIGH because usually it gets marked up $50 to $100 by each person as it gets sold down the line.
Dont worry... i am close, it wont cost you that.

If you move out this way then we can share those drinks finally. Change can be good. You are speaking to a Southern Boy. You will actually have seasons around here. Your not far from the beach and their is a lot of history up the east coast. Remember, there is good and bad anywhere. You can lay your head down at night and wake up anywhere, it's what you do with it that matters. I have traveled a lot and personally I feel that people are more easy going around this parts. Expect a change. FYI... NC is becoming a decent state for bodybuilding. Lonnie Teper is making it a tradition to go to the state show every year lately. They have had some top national level guys creep up the ladder recently. I know a pro, Patrick Richardson, who lives there a long with some other guys and they live the sport up. Let me know when(if) you are moving and will try to hook up some time.

I'm here in Wilmington, and I wouldn't live anywhere else. I lived in Tempe for 3 years and I agree with the other guys, the people here are more layed back. Like Pump said, NC has some decent competitors and we will have a pro show in Charlotte in just a few months.

LOL yes I did mean 7,000 a month. That house around here would be a 750,000 to 1 mil house. (I am not going to say where I live lol) Rent per month is usually 1% of value. That is why I live in a rental locker at the bus station

I think you would like it here in nc... The winters are mild unless you live in the mountains and since there are no law schools in the mountains of nc you should be fine... Everything is cheap in nc compared to other places especially rent... You should be able to rent your house and take that money and live nicely... Wilmington is cool... Plenty of beautiful college girls... Plus it is very close to the beach.
