FOR ABOUT A YEAR I HAVE HAD NUMED FINGER TIPS. WHAT COULD CAUSE THIS OR FIX IT?
I would go and get some xrays of your cervical spine namely c4, c5. You will prolly find a narrowing of the space between them. This is causing nerve impingement. Might be the source of your numbness. Worth checking into. Do you squat? heavy? what's the bar posi on your back? You may have the bar riding too high onyour traps/neck. Move the bar down to the backs of your shoulders. just a couple of things that spring to mind.EXTREME PUMP said:FOR ABOUT A YEAR I HAVE HAD NUMED FINGER TIPS. WHAT COULD CAUSE THIS OR FIX IT?

Thanks mainevent, I'm no doctor but I do alot of research. I had xrays about a year or two ago for some tingling in my hands and fingers, not numb, just tingles and there is a narrowing at c4,c5. Nothing too seriuos but the doc told me to be careful with it. He asked if I squatted and I think I said "does a bear shit in the woods" of course I squat. He explained that that was more than likely the cause of slight impingment. I had to agree, it makes sense. so I adjusted bar posi and it's fine now. Sucks cause had to learn how to squat again!!! On a more serious note, a disk problem, spinal stenosis, some sort of bone spur could also be the problem....but xrays should evaluate this and also when treated to no avail an MRI.
Last but again, not more than likely carpal tunnel. It seems to be worse at night and usually an EMG is used to confirm that diagnosis. Your doc would prescribe wrist splints for you if this is the cause.
Xrays are good but to be honest, I see this ALOT in my practice and its usually misaligned vertebrae which over time has affected the muscles, etc and n turniritates the nerves. So long story short, xrays or good but try a good chiro (who wont make you go alot of times) and/or a massage therapist for the muscle issue.
The rest is great advice oldfella.
