O/T DC Area Anyone?

I'm wondering if there is anyone from the DC area on here? Been here less than a year, and looking for cool people to meet. I know this is a weird way of doing it, by posting on here, but would be cool to meet other locals!

Hey bro, I told you in the PM that this is a bad way to go about trying to make connections. People on here don't know you. You haven't established any type of trust and you expect us to come meet with you to talk about training, gear, etc. Just not a good idea. Use the board, ask questions and establish yourself. This way just seems shady. Good luck.

Man that is strange. 2 of your grand total of 3 posts seem a desperate attempt at 'meeting up' with people; or getting someone to 'mentor' you. Why would anyone want to do that? Youve been on here almost a year and so you should have read up enough to start getting involved in discussion about the sport and supplementation-the first step to getting to know people.
Yes youre right-it is a weird way of doing it.

as to why I'm trying to meet people on here

I moved to this city less than a year ago. I'm also looking to make friends and socialize too. Besides mentoring, I'm also looking for possible friends. Not too much to ask to find people who live in my area, grab a beer, get dinner, etc.... not a gay thing, just a social thing. Pretty simple.

I know what you're thinking but step back and look at the environment here. A lot of hypothetical things regarding illegal stuff goes on here. A lot of people enjoy the anominity of the internet.

Like others have said - Post, reply to posts, get to know people on this board, via the board. There's lots of people on this board in your area. You just need to participate and earn trust - it just takes "time."

Hope that's no too harsh but the objective here is not to find new friends.

After saying that - I have met MANY people in person from the boards. But - I've been on the boards for several years, and when we meet, it's like seeing an old friend

Xcel you were not too harsh. But perhaps I was.
Like the man said, lots of people from your area here.
I met many local guys here. Two guys who I considered,
past or present, some of my best (if not best) friends.
But let it happen naturally. Arent you meeting people at the gym too?

The 'mentoring' thing, well thats what the board is for.
Learn from that. Its not likely you are just going to find
someone who will selflessly mentor you just because they
are nice guys. Its hard enough to mentor yourself!

Good you mentioned it was not a gay thing. There is
always alot of that, it annoys straight members and
so we are on the lookout for that.

I hate to say this

But I will. The way this post comes across smells like five-0. Who in there right mind would meet with someone who is looking for friends from a hardcore BB forums. You got to remember that with 65 million hits a month, and I'll guess low here, and say that 0.001% is Five-0 lurking around comes to 650 hits by Five-0.
