Personally i would not be the person i am today if it were not for college...
I have a degree in Kinesiology and 2 teaching credentials to work with disabled students in grades pre k- 12. Also have a Physical Education Credential.. My focus of study is in Adapted Physical Education. and honestly.. i could not have a better job..
I really think the discipline from bodybuilding helped me to graduate from college.. My job is fun and pretty easy but requires so much education to get hired, ... that was the hard part.. Now im getting home at 230pm and having 2 months off a year with a ton of vacation time to spend with my kids..Great benefits and security of the union and a good retirement.. To me... Teaching is a noble profession and i encourage others to get into this field ...
Going to college was probably the best decision i have made in my life. How can one go wrong by getting a degree..
I have met quite a few people that wished they went to college... But i have never met anyone who said...."damn, i wish i didn't go"[/QUOTE]
I wanted to comment on that last statement. I agree, when I was 17 and graduated from High School, I was supporting myself and had to work. I applied for grants, loans, scholarships and got turned down. Back when I was in High School, they still had trade schools in High school, were you could learn trades. If it wasn't for the fact that I participated and got a job as a Graphic Artist after High School, it would have been even tougher. I managed to evidentually open a couple of Businesses and investments and did it quite sucessfully. Make no mistake, it is a longer, harder road then a degree. Even though I didn't get a degree, I went and took some seminars and mini courses to educate myself over the years. Over the years I had to break my back and work hard. In todays work place, most won't even look at your resume without a degree.
