O/T How safe is the milk in the USA?

I just watched a really interesting documentary called CORPORATION centered around how corporations are growing and eventually aim to own everything from the water to the air...

One thing that struck me was the fact that one of Monsanto's products for cows (to increase their milk production) has been found to be potentially carcinogenic and transfers to the milk that is actually produced. Now I'm not from the US and haven't heard of this before but thought i would share, apologies if this has been discussed or posted previously.

Would be interesting to hear people's thoughts on this?

there are elevated levels of bHGH and IGF-1 in milk because they have them on growth.

I do not believe this will pose a risk for humans though consuming the milk because these compounds are not very (or at all) absorbable sublingual/orally.

Bingo. This kind of crap is hardly isolated to milk production. The real cost of MASS produced CHEAP food is… eat at your own risk.

Yeah - I think MANY of the foods we eat are filled with synthetic chemichels.

Better get some chickens in the back yard.

I buy Raw milk from grass fed beef from a local healt food store in my area.

My sister has 15 chickens in her back yard so I get eggs that are free range and super high in omega 3's.

We also buy a cow every year that is grass fed with no hormones or other chemichels injected.

Have 300lbs of beef in my freezer ready to go. Some of the best steak I have ever eaten .... mmm mmm mmm tasty.

Rather than worrying about whether the animals are filled with growth hormones, antibiotics and genetically modifieed you should worry that they are being fed primarily corn. (A highly government subsidized feed to hide the actual cost - but that's a different story). That chickens and cows are being fed a corn diet completely changes the fat composition of the meat, eggs and dairy from a good balance of healthy fats to an extremely bad one raising your risk for heart disease and stroke dramatically.

If these companies could find a way to sell you your own shit to eat they would for the sake of profit.

Grass fed beef, free run chickens, and omega 3 eggs don't just taste better, the are dramatically better for you.

corporations are started by people, but they are their own entity. they are not owned by anyone.
However, the top dogs are the ones making the decisions.
