O/T NYC here we come!

Just want to share this with everyone...I am so proud of my daughter, while going to high school my daughter was taking a 2 yr vo tech course in cosmetology. She is a straight "A" student in HS as well in vo tech, she went last week to take her written test which she passed and this week she took her practical test which she also passed, know she is a licensed beautician. So for her HS graduation/vo tech gift she asked if she could go to NYC, so my wife and my daughter will take a week off to the Big Apple. When she gets back she will be attending a local college, she wants to be a elementary school teacher just in case the hair thing does not pan out. Again I am so proud of my little girl.

Haha, so true brother. Having lived in NYC my whole life, you get to see how its changed over the years. It really is an overpriced cesspool. Looking at Texas as we speak. My friend left Brooklyn 2 years ago for Austin and tells me all the time how its a different world and how much he loves it. He is visiting family this week and already cant wait to leave. My relatives who moved to Vegas, same thing. They despise it here.

That being said, for tourists its fantastic. NYC is great for a visit, there is ALOT to see and do. And as others said the restaurants alone are worth the trip.

Stump, congrats on raising a great girl. She will LOVE the trip to NYC, just dont let her move here!!! PLEASE

i agree too this. i was born and raised in new york city. still live in brooklyn and work in the city. when from nyc u have a diff outlook.

i had a chance to move to texas and didnt do it. i kinda regret it now.
