OT: Any wristwatch junkies on here?

My two favorite watches are my Tag and Citizens.

Comfortable fits and look nice.

I have a nice Breitling night watch but prefer day wear watches.

Anyone have any garmin watches? If so, what are your thoughts on their functionality?

I'm looking at the garmin fenix 7/8 for heart rate, calorie, sleep, and step tracking. Probably won't use a majority of the features but I'd like to start getting better data inside and outside of the gym.

Think it also includes additional functions like sleep score and stamina/endurance potential

A steel sub is still one of the hardest watches to get.

I got my 114060 used but unworn for slightly under retail (820,000 yen with 10% tax included) when Covid hit and people panicked.
Probably my best pickup for the money ever. Second best will be my pair of Tudor Date-Day Princes.

This is probably my favorite in my current collection. Salmon dial IWC 3227. 200 set to be made, only 100 produced. Never selling it.

IWC Ingenieur, great piece!

I just bought one for my wife and she LOVES it!!!!!

I've had a couple of Rolex Daytonas full rose gold with chocolate faces. Currently wearing an Apple Watch :)

My father has an ultra rare Rolex Submariner COMEX from the 1980s. He was a commercial diver (now a supervisor) and worked for COMEX at the time.

Appreciate the feedback man. I just ordered one as well (the black Friday deals were too good to resist). I'm actually very much looking forward to it.

I already do a good bit of cardio, but I'm hoping it helps take me to the next level. I want to become more rounded with the running, biking, training. Maybe do a couple of triathlons, 10ks, maybe even workup to a half marathon in the distant future

Not sure if you’ve tried to buy a Rolex recently from an AD but it’s a shit show of playing favorites and making you buy 1000s in jewelry to be “worthy” of buying a Rolex from them.
The days of stupid mark-ups are long gone. I just picked up a brand new, fully stickered Starbucks for only US$1,000 above retail.

My closet has a couple of those massive watch boxes too—half of them probably weigh more than the watches themselves. Like you, I always wear a watch no matter what. Even if smartphones make them "unnecessary," there's just something about the feel of a good timepiece on your wrist.
Your collection sounds amazing, and I totally get the appeal of finding a piece like your CW Trident GMT that ticks all the boxes. I had a similar moment with a patek philippe calatrava replica I picked up a while back. It was my introduction to classic designs, and honestly, it gave me a real appreciation for the elegance of their style.
