O/T Vegas

Does anyone from here live out there? Doen't Huge. The reason I ask is I have some friends that just called me from the car on the way out there. They packed the car and moved and said fug it. There trying to talk me into coming out there. I actually know several people who live out there, but no sure. I've visited out there but we know how that is, party, party, party. I'm curious to what it's like to live there on a regular basis. I'm not a big gambler so I'm not sure. But I would go broke at those cheap ass buffets.
I think the Az would be better for me. Somewhere from chandler to scootsdale would be great. I don't know, maybe I'll win the lottery and by a house in both.

I have several friends that live in Scottsdale, and have visited there many times. I trained at the World Gym and the 24hr Fitness when I was there. It's very nice in general. I would like to live there when I'm done with school. I love the desert. Going back soon too.

Theres some guys here from vegas.

Ive been and I enjoyed it myself, as you mentioned the buffets
were the highlight of my trip, that and the topless swimming pool

Man its HOT there, my line of work money is great But Im afraid I couldnt hang with the heat. The place is growing out of controll, cant remember the exact numbers but shit loads of people moving there monthly. Id say it could soon be the largest city in the usa

Seems to me that if you go somewhere like this it's important to know why and what you are specifically going for...Work, etc. Otherwise it CAN be a dangerous place to get caught up in (as far as lifestyle) if you don't have a definite direction.

Aside from the casinos; Vegas reminds me a lot of what the Phoenix area used to be in the late 80's. Overall though I would pick Phoenix as the lifestyle is just plain awesome out here. Besides, Vegas is a 1 hour flight or 5 hour drive from Phoenix, so you can still visit your friends easily.

Just need a change. The nightlife doesn't bother me as I can't get caught up in anything that I don't want to, so I'll be good. Once I finish school I'll be set with a job in the medical field or in plastic surgery and augmentation as a nurse and eventually a cna. I have a buddy that just got hired at a hospital in pheonix and they hocked him up good. Gave him a shit load of cash and paid for his move and first two months of his house. Last I heard vegas was paying the most for moving and what not to get people out there.

Rea and I are from Scottsdale and we love it here , its the most livible city bar far that ive ever been to . Blue skies flip flops and tanks tops in the summer then in the winter its perfect for a convertable or a mach1 Mustang

just cant beat it here Im just buying more and more houses its the best investment by far , realestate out here is unreal check it out.

Ive lived in Phx and you are right, Vegas is like phx was a few years ago. Either place is GREAT for real estate right now and ARM, I understand that there is a doc and nurse shortage in Vegas so salarys are pretty high, if you need any info that I can get for you let me know. LEX

I'll be visiting Phoenix over x mas. My wife's father, sister and a few other relatives live in the Builtmore (sp?).
Is there a cool gym to workout in if we decide to do in on our vacation? And what about some cool nightlife? Hangout bars or maybe high energy dance clubs?
We get out there about once or twice a year and don't get know what new places are the "place to go".

I was fortunate enough to move to Vegas for work about 3 years ago. The great news was that my company paid for everything - the bad news was that the "move" turned out to be onaly a 9 month stay.

I had a blast while out there. Got an awesome apartment in a gated community in Henderson. It was a sick set-up, 2 bedroom, 3 bath, fully furnished place for $550 month. My last rental here was in upper-east side of NYC and it was $1800 for a hole-in-the-wall 1 bedroom.

Needless to say, I loved it out there. The weather was amazing, the people were great, and the Gold's Gym that I trained at was the best gym i've ever been in.

The Biltmore is a very nice place but everything around it is very pricey. There is a brand new LA Fitness right there that is the "in" gym to goto down there but it is not hardcore and more of a social place. If you don't mind the drive then head out the Gold's in Scottsdale.

For nightlife the Scottsdale is definitely the place to go. There are a million bars out there that are all hopping and packed with hot women with fake boobies. If you are in North Scottsdale then hit up Barcelona or Devil's Martini; if you want South Scottsdale then my favorites are Drift(if you want a cool lounge setting), Dos Gringos(if you want the casual yet crazy party scene), and Axis/Radius(if you want the upscale club).

Oh, and for good Sushi there is a brand new place called Stingray.
