I'm cleaning out the garage and ran into some old issues of MM2K and and found an interesting article 'What doctors don't know (or won't tell you) about bodybuilding'. There was a quote from a guy from Brooklyn, NY that just floored me when I read it.
'It's ridiculous that a man can walk into any plastic surgeon's office and get pec implants (this, despite the questionable safety of such implants, regardless of wheter or not they use a "safe" saline solution), yet if that man tries to consult with a physician about a safe, monitored regimen of exercise, nutrition, and pharmaceuticals which would allow him to develop the very same pecs, in a clearly more "natural" and less "artificial" manner, the physician would dismiss the request out of hand.'
