opening amps without scores

I saw in another thread where guys were breaking ICN amps because they didnt have scores. IF you have access to a diamond then just barely score about 1/4 of an inch around, If you do not then go to a hardware store and get a ceramic hone one used to sharpen knives about 10 bucks and it will score nicely around amp no need to go all ay around just about 1/4 of an inch. End result is no more broken amps or wasted gear everybody happy

amps

put the amp between two blades of a pair of scissors. move the scissors around the amp as you apply pressure with the scissors and it'll score it. don't squeeze the scissors too hard or you'll bust the amp. BILL

why not just buy a glass cutter there like 5-10 bucks and you can get them in most hardware store

or you could use what I use a pair of dog nail clippers works really good ,I just trimmed the neck on a ICN about 30 mins ago

The worst amps to open are some prop ones I got that were angled towards the top and come to a point.

Those amp openers dull kinda quickly. And certain amps dont 'fit' in them just right. I wrap the top of the amp in a folded piece of tissue (to prevent glass from flying all over); hold it against the inside of the sink; and tap it on the very top with a small hammer.
NEVER breaks an amp - all other ways Ive tried did break one sooner or later, causing major teary eyed depression in me.

Yep, get one at Home Depot for a few dollars and works great on ICN's.
