any good ones that actually work? i've heard mixed reviews on Crest White Strips.. wonder if there are any better OTC options out there
They work bro - trust me they work.
But of course it lasts for 3-6 months.
The strips are great, but if you have a bunch of crevices or holes or in between teeth that you want to change color then get a brush kinda one too.
The work just use as directed - don't miss a day.
But of course it's not as good as dental implants if you are like many staars and have a ton of cash.

Try the Rembrandt 2 hour whitening kit.
hey mate, thanks for the reply! i just talked to someone who said walgreen's version is just as good, if not better than the white strips..
so 3-6 months instead of 6 months its good for? which kind did you use bro?
Try the Rembrandt 2 hour whitening kit.
I've used a generic like walgreen and crest.
I like crest cause it stays in my mouth better, look online - you will see a lot of independent consumer report type of companies rating these strips, and usually crest is at the top. But take a look, for non bias source online that reviews and tests them all.
Well the effects taper off just like with gear - haha... but a little after three months for me is where it SLOWLY started to fade. But 5-6 months is a good time to hit it up again. I also don't ever show my lower teeth when I talk and smile (cause what lips are shaped) so the box lasts me twice as long - just wanted to point that out just in case you have the same situation as me.
If your teeth are truly a little off color or have some calcium deposits or whatever, it is definitely worth it.
Opalescence PT is amazine. You can get it at a dentist office but its a rip off because he/she will want to fit you for trays. If you look online you should be able to get some type of moldable tray with the syringes. I use the 20%.
Be careful with stuff. It only takes a dab. You don't want it spreading onto your gums because it will burn. Also, take it slow at first because it can lead to teeth sensativity.
Here is how good it works. My front caps fell out and I needed new ones. I told the dentist I wanted to bleech my teeth before she ordered the caps so she would match the caps with white teeth. My teeth were yellow from coffee and tea. I bleached for 7 days straight and when she went to match the color I had the lightest color available for caps.
I tried all the crest strips and other stuff. It did not work for me.

I will reply to this post with my professional opinion and comment to what was already said...
1. crest white strips is a good product. it works you need to follow the recommended protocol from the manufacturer.
2. It dose not really matter what product you use. All whitening product, be it at the dental office or OTC , the ingredients is the same. what matters is the strength of the solution(s). It can be as low as 7% or high as 35%. Ease of use will also be a factor to the consumer.
3.All whitening products will cause some type of sensitivity- this is expected. The sensitivity will depend on the patients tolerance. Sensitivity is relative.
4.To counter or lessen the sensitivity, I recommend using Sensodyne or any other antisensitivity toothpaste during the whitening protocol.
5.No need to taper.
6. Typically, your teeth will lighten a few shades.
7.If you have wedding or photo shoot and need the teeth white tomorrow, then I would recommend ZOOM whitening-results in 1 hour.
8.Opalesence-good product. I have this in my office.
9. Try to stay away from whitening tooth paste- too abrasive on the enamel.
**hope this helps.

crest white strips worked great for me. Everyone noticed
saw a thread on OLM where someone mentioned to "sprinkle" some baking soda on your tooth paste. has anyone tried this? i wonder if the whitening effect will ast as long as the white strips?
