Saw him workout about three times when I was in Venice... He was about 8 weeks out from the o... He is extremely wide... And has the smallest head lol... Which makes him look wider.. But his workouts were less than intense.. He always stopped a few reps short of failure..
I dated this stripper who dated him before me, she would tell me stories about him all the time. I remember she told me he would take her to the mall to shop and was out of breath walking from the car to the bench at the mall. He would sit on the bench for hours waiting for her, talking to anyone who would sit next to him. He couldn't walk the mall he was so big!
She also said his eyes were all fucked up, yellow and darting all over the place.
He was in Portland 20 some Years ago staying with some friends and giving a few seminars around the area. He was like a cartoon character with his massive arms and shoulders. His workouts were light weight and 20 plus reps just seemed like he wanted a good pump. I never seen him actually train with effort.
A guy like him seems totally lazy and clueless, but you don't get like that completely by accident, no matter what drugs you take or how good your genetics are. He had to at least eat correctly-ish. Makes you wonder what he did as far as drugs and diet. Eh, nevermind, he did screw up so many contest preps, he was probably pretty clueless. Great genetics though. Esiclene, haha, haven't heard that in forever.
He had all the tools to win Mr. Olympia. I remember one quote by him that i loved because I’m a rebel and i hate rules. I hate people that say you have to train this way or that way to grow. He was asked if he followed The Weider Principles and trained arms once or twice a week. I think Weider is a douche so i loved his response. He said, “Fuck the rules! I’ll train arms 4 days in a row!” He had 24” arms so why follow rules made by some dick-bag with 13” arms.
I saw Dillet compete several times at the Pro Ironman Invitational. He and Ronnie Coleman were very similar in size and condition.
