Phidias are you a native-born Frenchman? If so, how do you speak English so well? Is it common for native Europeans to speak such good English? Cuz judging by your spelling/grammar, you speak/write English better than a good amount of actual Americans.
I'm more Parisian than French... like comparing NYC to Montana for example!
JT if you read this...
HAHA but yeah, Ricky, born in Paris and been living there for close to 28 years now.
As for speaking English decently, well... it depends on which European country you're raised in. Honestly, most French people suck when it comes to foreign languages, even the most educated... it's not something they make a priority of in school. Most kids learn their first words at the age of 10 or 11... when in Scandinavian lands for example (Denmark, Sweden, Finland) they start much earlier.
Even eastern countries, despite the former Russian ascendancy, have in average a much better level. Look at Vadim b1, IMO one of PM's most knowledgeable member: his English is perfect!
Same for Buselmo, living in Saudi Arabia! You wouldn't know, you'd think he was born in London.
And what about Big A too?
No, since you Americans don't make any effort to learn other languages, the whole world has to adapt to communicate with you...
Well, not so true actually... your first language is Spanish now.
