RJ, Why?? The area you live in is great, nothing against Arkansas. Is it due to a new job?
i live in AR, yes nothing here to do but play in the mud not really, its a great state. no pro football team here so the razorbacks are a BIG deal here. the night life is so so, but thats not really my thing so...
the lakes and the outdoors in general is what is great about AR.
Any good gyms around Conway?..or anything else cool bro?
Why do you care? You are not going there on vacation you are going for business/school. That should be your priority. If you are looking for something "cool" stay home and go to Junior College.
Well bro I am hoping to get accepted into PT school in Texas this semester but if not I know someone on the board in Arkansas and I will just go to school there.
I am still keeping my fingers crossed and hoping to stay here but we will see bro. Really dont wanna do it but gotta do what you gotta do ya know
RJ
Best thing about Arkansas is the outdoors. I lived in Hot Springs years ago, its a very beautiful area with mountains and lakes (Ozarks and Ouachita) So if you like to hike, camp, canoe, you'll like it.

hey brick, im from hot springs, lived here pretty much my whole life. i live in trivista (right behind the track). it is a very beautiful place to live, i often wonder how people could live in areas without such great natural surroundings.
.
that doesnt make any sense to me...

Well let me try and explain. If someone wants to go to school they can go to school anywhere. If they have something special they are going to school for then their choices are limited. If someone has a career, sometimes that career moves them from place to place. RJ though not specific with his question, gave the impression that he is a student (young guy early 20's living at home. So things like wife kids, school district are not really an issue) He is trying to get into one of these specialized programs of study that would one day lead to his career. His first choice is to stay where he is at now and get into that program but if he doesn't the next choice is to go to school in Arkansas and study that special program. So my point? If ultimately for his career thats what he wants to do with his life getting into that program of study should be his main priority regardless of the location even if it is on Mars, afterall he is mostly going to be studying anyway. So if this is his only choice to study in that field "cool gyms" are irrelevent. If cool gyms and places are his priority, then by all means stay where you at and go to school or just find a fun place and go to school.
To you understand now?
So you would rather be miserable, stress out /w nothing to do, then do bad in school because you're stressing out and have no way to release the stress.
I'm guessing he's going to be there for 4 years, why would he want to hate it for 4 years? That might make him quit before he's done.
School should be fun, and it shouldn't be a chore at all..that's what makes people quit. Just like /w anything in life.

I have busted my ass for the last three years working most of that time 7 days a week and going to school learning and working as a technician to learn the in's and out's of physical therapy.
I have applied and am waiting to hear from a number of schools in Texas...HOWEVER..I can DEFINATELY get into graduate school in Arkansas. This is why im asking if there is anything "cool" that I might wanna look into or something to not make me SO DAMN DEPRESSED about the possibity of leaving my friends..my family..and everything that I like about my home!
If I dont get accepted the fact is that I am moving there is no alternative in my mind...this is my future and what I will be doing for the rest of my life its not like if I didnt like it I wouldn't go or anything...SHIT..what the hell is the big deal about me wanting to know some positive stuff about moving to Arkansas to up the moral about this a little bit?
