There are at least a few schools of thought on this - some are big proponents of the "rebound" and push carbs very high in the period following a contest diet (insulin sensitivity is high, hunger is high, body is "primed" to grow, etc.) , while others say to slowly add in calories because your metabolism is in the shitter after a diet, body is primed to store fat, etc.
I've always used the former approach (higher carbs, more high days) for at least the first couple weeks back, and have had good success with it.
This year I will probably try the latter approach though, just to experiment.
Same holds true for supplements - some say take a break, others say take advantage of the "rebound".
Try searching for "rebound", "post contest", etc.. this has all been covered before (not just on this board).
