So I try to boos tmy energy before the gym since I trian at 7:30 PM. COuple weeks ago I just made a really strong pot of coffe chugged it 30 mins ahead of time and it was great. So I upped it and about got sick. SO 2 days ago I took 650mgs ephedra, bad idea alost yacked doing squats but worst was DIZZY as hell...
SO what do you guys use if anything ??? I was trying to avoid wasting money on some GNC bullshit with something I can get from the house.....Unless theres somehting better.
 
On chest and bacl days I use

ECA - Ephedrine (25mg), Caffeine (200mg), Aspirin (325mg).

This is a synergistic mix. Why - use this and don't substitute:
Ephedrine is what your trying to get from using Ephedra and Ephedra is NOT standardized, so YOU HAVE NO IDEA how much "actual" ephedrine (the active ingredient) you're taking in.
Caffeine tablets - same thing as above. You have NO IDEA how caffeine you are actually getting.
Some use products that contain willow bark, which is what aspirin is made from. Same issue as what I mentioned with other ingredients.

I DON'T DRINK coffee or ANY caffeinated drinks like pop. So I'm pretty sensitive to caffeine. If you drink a lot of caffeinated drinks, your body gets acclimated to caffein and this effect does not work no matter how much you take!
 
Where is everyone getting their ephedrine these days? I love the ECA stack but need to know where to get the "E". :D
 
you can buy ephedrine HCL from any of the online bodybuilding supplement websites or as asthma medication from the pharmacy
 
The only thing I would substitute in your stack xcel is ginger for the asprin. Works similarly but doesnt produce the Progestins that asprin might. (see animal's comments on the subject)

I really like Taurine for a boost...1500mg Taurine, 200mg caff. and 25mg eph. is a great stack.
 
I like ECA during my workout but it always kills my apetite. My problem has always been gaining so I try to avoid anything that lowers apetite or burns fat.
 
Oatmeal

I usually eat a couple packs of oatmeal before working out. I dump a couple of packs of the instant stuff into about 8oz. water with a scoop of protein as a pre-workout shake. I find it gives steady energy and I get good pumps from it too.
 
The boost you want is just a band aid for not getting enough sleep. But if you must do so due to lifestyle then you might want to try l-phenalynine or l-tyrosine or lower the dosage of caffeine and or ephedrine
