Yea I’ve kept the weight off and upped my cardio, most days don’t feel like I have the energy to do cardio but power through it anyways

I used to snore like a freight train but haven’t done so in quite a while.

Its worth a shot IMO. I like armodafinil a little better. Armo normally comes in 150 mg doses and Modaf in 200. They are comparable at those doses with Armo providing a cleaner and longer lasting experience for me.

I have sleep apnea and the above drugs are sometimes prescribed for people with sleep apnea. Some take it every day but I do not. In fact, I dont like taking it more than 2 days in a row. It does help me have a clear head and better concentration for work on days that I have not gotten much sleep.

I am a lightweight compared to some with dosing. I can only handle half a dose of either armo or modaf at one time, otherwise I get nauseous and can kind of get in a trance like/zoned out state. I have seen others describe the same. My suggestion to others normally is to start low with half the regular dose and see how that works.

Modaf for the win.
As someone who has a 15 month old and gets up at 4am to lift, it can be a life saver. I try not to abuse it…maybe twice a week…but it can work wonders if you have a pretty mentally intense job as well.

Moda is the S isomer and the R isomer of the drug. Think like…….your hands. They are structured the same, but if you put your right hand in the sand, and then put your left hand in the hole, it wouldn’t fit in the indentation.

Armodafinil is pure R isomer. It has a substantial difference in pharmacokinetics. After a morning dose, blood levels are still quite elevated at 12-16 hours.

Because of the wide MOA of this drug on increased serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine AND it’s effects on the reticular formation (potentiation of orexin, glutamate, and histamine receptors) as well as GABA inhibition…….its almost impossible to take armodafinil multiple times a week and NOT fuck up sleep architecture.

But, it builds tolerance very slowly, much easier on your neuro and cardio system than say ritalin/adderral.

Modafinil is inferior on a mg-mg basis, but the S isomer is cleared in about half the time of the R isomer.

Nicotine in the form of gum or pouch (Zynn), 1-2 mgs maybe 1-2x per week to focus extra during busy work day

Other than that, coffee, and try to sleep better because a 8-8.5 hr sleep day is basically like being on cognitive steroids the next day

have you had your cortisol levels checked? If its tanked, then that is adrenal fatigue, YES 100% REAL. With no cortisol you will be dragging ass all day. We had a patient that was taking prednisone for 3 years for general pain and inflammation. Her morning cortisol was like 4! She could barely get out of a chair, always napping. We got her adrenal support and 3 months later she was "dancing". I`m not sure of her definition of dancing but it was a 1000% improvement. When these idiots at mayo clinic tested her cortisol again and it was normal, they asked her, "what did you do"? Mayo clinic told her adrenal fatigue is a myth. LOL

I know might sound a little bizarre but some of these higher end Pre-workouts will wake someone from the dead and keep u going several hours without a crash. Most of them do however have a strong amount of caffeine in the formula as well as things like DMHA, ALPHA GPC, etc..

I pinned a ml of the super shredder from amino asylum about 30 min pre workout with 600mg synthetine and had loadssss of energy all workout
 
Sadly all the things that actually work will probably fuck you up more in the long term. Often finding a good balance and not overdoing certain "boosters" is the best approach. If you can rotate things in and use stuff 1-2 times weekly you can minimize potential issues but it's still likely to happen especially if you are rotating different uppers daily. I think your best bet for the first thing to try is modafinil and start the dose low and move up. If I use 200mg I feel weird/off but 50mg is a nice boost and if I combine that with a preworkout I am gtg for approx 6 hours. My best advice would be to completely change your diet (elimination diet) and get allergy tests done and make sure your gut is operating at 100%. Keep losing weight as well as that will only help and look at everything you are taking in (including supplements and drugs) carefully.

Never heard of this one. I am going to have to look it up. Seems to be a more natural route and if it works, Im down.
 
I use armodafinil a maximum of 3 days a week. Usually take it if I slept like shit the night before going on duty. Sometimes I may get a small headache as a side effect. But that may be from dealing with idiots at work so idk. It does work though
