Protein Powder Left In Water

Just a quick question for anyone that may know.

Is there anything truth that protein powder degrades if left in water when mixed?

Is there a certain X time that it may "downgrade" if you will ?

Might be a silly question and the % may not be even worth the thread....I was just listening to a convo at my gym and caught it my attention.

I was always curious about this as well... Sometimes for convenience it is simply easier to mix up all the shakes in the morning.
