question about hair loss and finasteride

for anti hair loss properties, how much and for how long you guys use finasteride ?

I take prescription propecia wich is finasteride at a dose of 1 (1mg) tab per day.....forever

I also use the new Rogaine foam 2x per day and Nizoral shampoo 3x per week

Just started 2 months ago on the propecia and added the rest 3 weeks ago. I hope to get some regrowth from the rogaine and keep what I have from the propecia.

I will use it indefinitely. I now use 2mg per day with a half glass of water. I read on propecia's site that water should be taken at the same time. Anymore than 2mg and I have 0 sex desire. I also use Nioxin shampoo and conditioner as well as supplementing biotin.

why do you use 2mg? I was under the impression that 1mg was sufficient...just curious.

Actually I started using 5mg. I purchased thru one of the board sponsors, but later found out that the label was printed in error. 5mg I had no sex desire, at 1mg my hair was still coming out 2mg is working well to work for me. Since I am 46yr old I stay on constantly HRT so I just stay on the product. My training partner went to the dr. and they started him out at 5mg. Of course when his libido went south, the finesteride went in the trash. He got hair implants

mike, keep in mind though that finasteride wont step hairloss from tren or winstrol, which if i recall, you like to use often. sorry mate.

Mike, my understanding is that finasteride will help stop the hair loss. My wife is a salon owner and sells Nioxin and has may clients swear by that line of shampoo and conditioner, it must be used exclusively. Some of the others may work as well, but she tells me that the shampoo and conditioner will help make the scalp conducive to hair growth. About 1/3 of mine has come back of course I" m just guessing. Its hard to measure, but it is much thicker. I did not have a problem for many years only after I used pro-hormones did I experience hair loss. I have a good 20+ yrs of a.s use . Good luck and keep in mind that hair transplants are getting cheaper all the time, in case you dont have success with other methods.

hey fellas... same here for the hair loss. I havent ever noticed much till I used Tren.. then the shit started thinning like crazy. Personally... i use 5mg proscar and Nizoral shampoo 2% Azelic acid is awesome.. and rogaine is so so!! I just hate doing it twice a day... man thats a pain. For me.. the proscar is a savor.. and i will wait to it gets very bad and have hair grafts.. or wait till they get the hair cloning thing worked out. As far as the sex drive... i dont noticed a bit while on juice.. but i still take it when I am not on... and it does knock it out. I figured hell.. it gives my wife a break since i am overly horny anyways... so keeps me from being so damn frustrated!!

I used 1mg daily and saw hair loss come to a stop near the middle of my cycle. (I used Winny and masteron and Test).
about 1 month after PCT my sex drive died! I went off the stuff and my hair loss is not too bad. I would rather have no hair than no dick.
I plan to use during this next cycle though, I really think that for those of us that are sensitive that just using during a cycle and PCT is the way to go. And anyone using more than 1 mg for hair loss is just wasting their money, it has been proven that using more than 1 mg does not help any more than just using 1 mg.
