Why are sooo many allowed to view this forum without registering. There is never less than a 100+ guests on this forum. If people have an issue of anonymity they could log in and be invisible. It doesn't bother me this is the way it is here, but I don't understand the point of being able to view every thing thats being said. These guest don't have their IP address logged. Seem like a security risk.

i visited one board the other day and some of the forums were blocked so that only members could view them. perhaps this is what the Alice in Chains fans is referencing?
not sure if it would make it safer, but it would force undercover law officials to sign in and get their IPs traced.

I think a lot of people just like to lurk, thats pretty much all i do though i registered anyway. Most questions I have I can use the search and pretty much get my answer that way. This is really the only board I come too and I have found it to be the best(in my opinion).

Yes... Exactly If you have an Ip address you can see if there is a pattern. I remember back when Meso Rx had a classified section. A member named Mugzy was the current scammer hunter, It turned out he logged on the that board 60+ times a day under different IP addresses. So yes, I think its a security risk. No, I don't think you can totally prevent LE for looking but at lest make everyone register and log in.

well there is a fucking scumbag member who ripped another member off and was banned then was cameback under a different Ip and still is here lurking. What does it matter if they register or not? anyone can do that over and over again.
