Do what works for you; learn and experiment with your body. don't let someone come in and start hating what you have achieved
 
so whats the difference between cheats and refeeds..???

theres no right or wrong way....just easier ways...
and doing things that are completely useless is
not the easier way...

For clients of theyre performance based refill glycogen for primary sessions

For physique atheletes more so reverse any metabolic downregulation which may occur

To ckarify this is when theyre already lean
If theyre out of shape straight deficit

And a refeed is at maintenance or slightly above, unless they lie and cheat lol

I would only refeed if progress has stalled, I'm extremely flat, already doing a ton of cardio, and calories are super low... basically if I have nowhere to go. Then again I'd listen to Tenny.

Any minute now little slice will be in with a DNP comment as well.

the last few times I've prepared for a show i didn't have "cheat" , "refeed" or anything else till the last few weeks when we started doing a weekly carb load. This had nothing more to do with seeing how long it took me to peak and spill over ao it could be timed for the final week.
I've always responded very well to no carb diets , plenty healthy fats and protein and i stayed full , had energy , weight stayed consistent , and i could get lean with WAY WAY less cardio
 
im revisiting a lower carb approach, not as active as i use to be and well it appears i have a high cortisol output :banghead::banghead:
so made some adjustments to help insulin sens....

idk yet how ill do it when im in a gaining phase again.. maybe caps carbs at 400

I'm 260 pounds on the dot right now, dropped a few pounds by dropping my carbs to 200 or less a day.

Basically 200-300 is my particular sweet spot to not gain bodyfat

Smaller guys depending on metabolism would need less to maintain I would assume.

Fats around 80-100 a day for me to maintain as well along with my carbs.

3200 cals would be close to maintaining for me.


The key is OP to find out for yourself. Read about caloric expenditure. Listen to Dr Scott Stevenson he's got some brilliant info regarding the metabolism. I've learned a lot from him.

Keep insulin sensitivity up and find your caloric sweet spot. Go from there 👍🏼
 
250 carbs...???

sounds like you are refeeding everyday then.....:lightbulb:


Lol that's what i am thinking...and that is the reason i ask...because i often see people posting pictures of their carbs-included meal during cutting and then during weekend they will go for 'refeeds'....

My show is about 9 weeks away,been dieting 3 weeks...i havent do refeed day,just a day or 2 where i slipped and ate a slice of pizza haha...
i used to go very low to zero carbs in the past,got me shredded but lost tons of muscle,this time i try to include more carbs...so wondering do i still need refeeds since i eat carbs in my meals...
