Rhabdomyolysis & Severe muscle loss

it is not permanent, it just takes time for your muscles to get back to normal..
but training alone is rarely a cause for rhabdo. Where you also dehydrated?

5k cpk is no rhabdo. thats my usual value after a hard leg/back workout.

exactly.
crushing injuries or immobilization are the main reasons.
but it can happen if you start too intense after a long break and you are dehydrated. It didnt help either that OP did a lot of intense stretching at his first session because intense stretching and eccentric work lead to much muscle damage.
 
I am wondering if your chest always got more sore and tender after workouts compared to your other muscles.

Was chest always a bodypart that recovered slowly?

Also, what kind of workout were you doing before and what exactly did you do during that session when this happened?
