Recently I've been having problem with extreme muscle weakness after my training. The weakness is prominent in the trained muscles, but seems to migrate to other core groups that haven't been worked at all within a day's time. It follows the same trend as DOMS. The pain is about the same as DOMS, but weakness is abnormal.
For example: I trained legs. 2 hours later I fell down getting off a bus. I didnt have the strength to keep myself up. The next morning literally dragged myself to work. It took me all my will to climb a set of stairs very slowly - i put more effort into that than my heaviest set of squats. The next day I couldnt dress myself so well, so I stayed home.
Yesterday I trained chest and back. Today it migrated to my quads mostly. I tried to work them and found I had 1/8 strength. Again, I fell down today (at my office job when I crouched down because I didnt have the strength to get up. I bet noone expected that I could see from the shock on people's face.
I've been training for 25 years, and consistently for 9 months now so muscle pain from traning is (should be) pretty minimal these days.
My CK has risen in the past few months from around 120 to 800 last month. I will get my blood checked again tomorrow.
I would appreciate any useful input.
P.S. Yes, I will see a doctor next week however I'd like to know if other bodybuilders have experienced this phenomenon.
