Sergio junior takes New York Pro

I think you have it the other way around. There are serious discussions about cutting men's bbing from a few major men's npc shows and the viability of some pro shows.

Much better off stopping men's bbing altogether and focus on figure, fitness, physique, etc

I'm a huge bodybuilding fan and love seeing freaky dudes on stage, but you're completely right. NPC shows keep growing every year while bodybuilding classes get smaller. It only makes sense from a business standpoint to capitalize on what's drawing the largest appeal, women that other women want to look like and dudes find attractive and guys that exhibit the same.

I think that gifted this one to Sergio. Jon looked much better in my opinion. But Sergio did nail condition
Well the credit for the condition goes to Chris.

I agree that John looked better. feel so bad for him.

I think its that crap again a shorter guy
gets overlooked compared to your 5'9" plus height for your typical big guy in the open division. ya lets give it to big guy why dont we.

I thought Jon looked like shit...

he should be doing 212s..

gotta be 5'5 5'4

Definitely taller. Prolly 5'6 or 5'7. Stood right next to him (unfortunately) a month ago. Pics don't do pros justice. Stand next to them and you'll never want to workout again.

without bikini and physique......there would be no NPC or IFBB....

I know everyone wants to say "they could / should pay the athletes more" - but you are in business to make as much money as possible and spend as little as possible doing it. This is a hobby and passion for many of us - so it's easy to compare it to other sports and how revenue is distributed but the "sponsors" of bodybuilding shows have to ask themselves just how much of their revenue is dependent on athletes - and WHICH (BB / Physique / Classic / Fitness) athletes is it most dependent. I am not talking about the promoters. Promoters need asses in seats so that's a whole different criteria. A sponsor has to justify expenditures based on revenue. Do their sales in fact depend on bodybuilders?
In a way the popularity of the fitness industry has almost hurt the bodybuilder. Sponsors realize that their typical customer is not necessarily a hardcore BB fan. That sucks for the bodybuilders, but if the BB community felt that this wasn't the case BB at the top level would sit out shows and force the issue. They don't because that won't work.
Compare that to the NBA - where almost all of the revenue is dependent on the players. If the top 20 NBA players sat out, the NBA would see an enormous decrease in revenue as would all sponsors. Same in MLB / NFL / NHL - and whatever the pro soccer initials are.

I really thought the new dude that placed 4 th looked great and should e been bumped up a couple spots. If he nails his conditioning he could easily take shoes with this kind of a line up

If he did...he might actually win some shows
I do agree with tenny that he has not won many shows. Lot of second places finishes but the only first place win was

2015 Chicago Pro 1st place.

His showing at the O was poor like 14 or 15 place.

He does have few outstanding poses though, front double bis , rear double bis. I like John he is a very nice guy and has a decent body. I wish him well. I think he looks better Juan, more complete.

I mean if we look at this way he beat a total mutant like akim and even Juan who took second last year and few other big taller heavier guys so thats something.

His buddy Marco rivera tried to pull a delarosa and get to open didnt happen lol
