sick of supplement stores

ok so yet another venting thread from me....

im so sick and tired of goin to these damn health/supplement stores. these guys know damn well what they're talkin about and always steer you towards the pricey shit. the owner of this one i go to knows i know my shit... yet continuously tells me im wrong and that what i say wont work. why buy a $40 PWO mix when i can get a bag of dextrose for $3.50??? WTF??? he sat there and told me dextrose is not safe and that it wont work! plus when i said oooo caffeine pills...he said they wont work and that i should get a $40 bottle of liquid Redline for a pre workout stimulant....why bother if i can get 100 200-mg caffeine pills for $6.50!!! i know its not the best stuff...but on a student's budget...i cant afford all that shit!

he knows that the stuff i wanted to get would work...he just thinks im fuckin ignorant and will go with whatever he says....spending much more than i have to.

it just pisses me off. i know hes a businessman and thats his job, but at least have enough respect for me to know that he cant bullshit me into that expensive junk.

idk i just get mad easily...i see that as a sign of disrespect towards me and my knowledge of this stuff. ive been soakin it all in here and learning SO much... and i thank you all for that opportunity. these are the times when i realize you guys arent out there to bullshit me and you're all the people i need to be listening to. you arent out to make money off of me.

so ive calmed down now...thanks for letting me vent once again. (i have a little bit of a temper )

if you really want to make him look stupid, ask him how these supps work "exactly" chances are he will spout of some bs, but just keep asking him how and why. then ask what ingredients in the " superduper fat loss supp" are active? and ask him to point them out to you and tell you the exact mg doses, then gladly thank him and go home and buy the raw ingredients at bulk nutrition or another online store that sells the ingredients bulk for 1/10 of the price!

its a win win situation, either he wont know what the hell is on there that makes it work (he looks like an idiot) or he will know what the ingredients are that work and tell you proudly! then you write them down, say thanks and go search them on the net( he looks like an even bigger idiot!)

The bottom line is that they are STORES. They are gonna try to peddle anything they can to you, especially products with a higher profit margin.


You can protect yourself from this by doing your research beforehand (on here would be my recommendation) and walking in and getting ONLY what you are looking for, do not let them "suggest sell" you on anything else.
