Im sure that everyone has been feeling the pinch as far as it comes to groceries and other things in this country,
have you guys noticed that your supplements have raised a lot in prices too??
I buy a lot of supplements but I haven’t really noticed cause I guess I don’t really pay much attention to it.

I don't use many supplements myself but two that I've noticed substantial increases in price are whey protein and creatine

Whey and creatine is what I've noticed too. Creatine mono is expensive shit now lol. I remember it was easy to get a tub for 9.99. I think is 3-4x as much now.

I haven’t bought any in a minute,
but I’m sure the prices are going up dramatically

Food and Power have gone up a lot more over here in old Europe, and holy fuck are those prices raping my wallet. I will take what I have regarding supplements, but I will only restock the essentials (essential for me that is).

Funnily enough, gear prices have remained pretty stable 😊

Stop wasting your money on the majority of supps. Creatine is awesome. Fiber has been proven to reduce colon cancer. If you are using slin, that's a separate conversation. But if nof- brother you will be much better off spending your money on whole foods.

I don't know why steroid users take creatine. I don't think creatine is going to make any significant difference in your results. I mean, it won't really effect naturals either, tbh.

Not to disagree with you (as you are almost certainly much bigger and leaner than me!)... but Creatine is actually an amazing supplement for performance sports, bodybuilng included. It has the ability to increase the amount of glycogen that can be stored in muscle tissue. Improves protein symthesis. It also increases ATP production. It's been a very long time so please don't ask me to post research links. Like I said, no disrespect

I got to be honest with you, I've never noticed much of anything from creatine even when I was totally natural. People swear by it and I've seen some very solid research on its benefits, but personally I've really never experienced anything. I always just assumed I was a non responder. I started using it regularly again when I began running insulin pre workout adding it to my intra shake and picked up a tub for near nothing from a company who was re-branding their product line.

Curious if you have ever had your "muscle cr" levels tested? Creatine non responders are a real thing. Depending on the research, anywhere btw 10-25% of users are non responders... And I in no way mean any disrespect to anyone, my intentions are only positive - to the majority of the guys that read this thread- creatine is your friend. It takes all of 30 seconds to google why bodybuilders should take creatine. Again, I'm just an old fat man with a background in science. I'm here to help. I mean no disrespect to A50 or anyone else.

Creatine is one of the most studied athletic supplements in existence. There’s tons of research and peer reviewed studies showing it’s benefits and it’s incredibly safe risk profile. Like you said, I’m sure there are outliers, but a vast majority will benefit from using it. Although prices have been climbing, it is still a relatively inexpensive supplement to throw in the mix.

No I never have been tested. What specifically would I ask for? I have extremely good health insurance and I pay nothing out of pocket for blood work. Also, no offense taken at all. I'm actually pretty tough to offend unless you say something about my momma 🤫

As said creatine. I can clearly tell the diffrence in fullness and pumps. Used to be able to buy a year supply for nothing so of coarse I would use it. I would think over years of use it will probably make a diffrence. Yeah it's not gear but was a cheap addition so why not. Now it's sometimes 30 or so for a month supply so I haven't used it for awhile. Main things I take are magnesium, zinc, d, probably should add vitamin k from what I've been reading.

The whey I get from MyProtein has gone up about 20%, but I'm also paying with a weakened yen.
Overall I don't use enough to make it impact my budget much.

I find creatine to have many effects in the body. I have seen studies with older people that score higher when the brain is being tested along with many other processes.
I know whey prices are up noticeable. Others seem higher. But i really don't pay attention. I look to see what manufacturer is cheaper. If i want something i add it to my cart and pay without checking what it used to be.

Pretty much how I am buying protein. If it's iso or hydro with around 110 Cals for 25 g of protein I buy whatever is cheapest.
DHA is the most expensive supplement I buy.

I'm not trying to sound bad here but why would you assume that supplements wouldn't be like anything and everything else in the world..and especially the USA the last 4-5yrs? Wages going up, cost of raw materials from powders to containers to plastic seals to scoops going up, gas and shipping going up.

Weird flex - it's cool that you don't have to pay attention but I just don't quite understand the purpose of the question.

I'm just saying if you take two guys, both have the same diet, same training, same genetics, same rest, the only difference is creatine supplements, and check their results after a year, two years, etc, there won't be any significant difference that meets the eye
