'slin and diabetes

If you take insulin as a bodybuilder I've read that you can become a diabetic for life. I was wondering if anyone could explain Why and how could this happens? I'm sure it's obviously taking it wrong in some way, OR because your body is so sensitive to insulin (depending on the individual). How big of a risk is it?? Have you ever heard of this happening to anyone? What are the chances of it happening?

I aksed my doc the exact same question years ago and he laughed. He said that the amounts of insulin that I would use (15IU twice a day) for short periods of time (weeks) will not affect me in any bad way in the long term.
If you are really worried, use metformin after your insulin cycle to sensitise your insulin receptors again.

Is there a rule of thumb as far as duration of weeks of taking slin'? Or is it pretty much the same as gear?

It's individual. the way I like to do it is 4 weeks on gear/GH/insulin and then 4 weeks on gear/GH. The second 4 weeks solidifies the gains from the insulin and loses the fat.

I ASKED MY MOTHERS ENDRO DOC AND HE ALSO LAUGHED. HE STATED THAT AS LONG AS IT WAS NOT DONE AT EVERY MEAL AND THERE WAS TIME OFF IT WOULD NOT ADVERSLY EFFECT INSULIN OUTPUT. I THINK ALOT OF GUYS ASSUME THAT THE INSULIN THEORY IS THE SAME AS THE TEST THEORY WERE IF ONE IS ON TEST TOO LONG IT "CAN" EFFECT TEST OUTPUT FROM THAT TIME ON. APPARENTLY IT IS NOT QUIT AS DRAMATIC WITH INSULIN USE....

All doc's I have asked have said the same thing " impossible to become diabetic " from taking insulin

as long as its not taken every meal ur good, keep in mind ceratin amino acids and any form of carbs which becomes sugar will make ur body release insulin so u dont have much to worry about
