how anal are you about keeping fat as low as possible during slin window?

so just started my first slin run using @bbxtreme 's write up, started at 5iu novorapid pre-wo today before leg day. went fine, planning on bumping it up 1iu each time until i hit 10-12iu and keeping it there (thats plenty for my goals). just added up my cals/macros for when slin is active and cumulatively between my pre/intra/post WO nutrition im getting 1150 cals, 60p, 160c, and 14f, is this too much fat to be having during slin's active time? i train first thing in the morning so no fats are in my system from meals previous and i already removed any direct fat sources from these slin time meals (for example, id put EVOO in my PWO protein shake but removed that). i honestly dont really see it as a huge deal but just wondering what the more experienced guys think if i should shoot for as close to zero fat as possible. thoughts?

btw my current cycle im running is 100test/25ment/10trena/4iu hgh ed and only planning on running slin pre-wo. im 5'10, 197 lbs morning weight, ~12% (still full abs), id like to hit and maintain a lean 205 from this cycle.
 
it depends on what kind of fat it is - if for example you count it from oatmeal, rice, or chicken, I wouldn't worry about it but if it is fat, e.g. from steak, peanut butter or some oil, I would consider changing it.
ya thats exactly what it is, a lil bit from the 2% milk, oatmeal and cacao i put in my PWO protein shake. and ya thats what i was thinking too, remove the direct sources (like taking the EVOO out of the shake) and not worry about the small incidental sources from the other stuff. thanks for confirming @luki7788

Listen to the coach ^. This is exactly what I do. I keep my protein sources egg whites, 0% Greek yogurt and Whey Iso when I’m in the window. Carbs are COR, oats, dextrose and dextrin.

Cut the 2% milk from the shake and use water.

Stick to trace fats and you’ll be fine.

ya i was already kinda considering this, but fuck it ill do it. imma switch it to FF milk tho as: 1. i dont wanna remove even more cals from my PWO meal and 2. i like my milk in my PWO shake lol, i digest it just fine and it tastes way better lol

I figured you were drinking it for taste as some do. You’re not in prep and if it’s something you enjoy then keep it Skim Milk. Just no need for the excess fat from it IMO especially when using slin.
 
Trace for me. I use liquid egg whites as the fluid in my postwo shake. And the meal after that ground beef n rice.

i dont compete, just a regular gym bro lol so no preps for me but ya agreed and agreed. itll be kinda annoying two different milk jugs lol but whatever, no biggie lol. thx for the input my dude.
 
I am cutting atm, learnt that from Luki posts and Roman Fritz video.

Training at 6am.
Wake up at 5am start drinking my prewo with morning pills.

Prewo: 1liter water with 75 HBCD/Dextrose + 30g Whey Iso +1g salt + Humalog

Intrawo: 1liter water with 25g HBCD/Dextrose + 30g EAA + 10g Glutammine + 7g Taurine (using clen atm so It helps) + 1g salt

Postwo: 125g Korn flakes + 300ml water + 30g Whey ISO + 1g salt + Humalog

It's virtually 0 fats.

I think I will keep the same also for bulking, drinking breakfast first thing am makes me more productive during workout.

How many grams of added fat was in the pre workout? I also like a little fats pre as it helps slow down the digestion and training feels a lot better

I always add 5-10g to my clients' pre-workout meal - it doesn't interfere with anything and makes the sugar level during training more stable when you use insulin.

cant remember the precise amount but like Luki wrote 5-10grams
 
I didn't do any fats post slin. I always did dextrose then a regular protein shake with water. 1 hour later usually chicken and rice or tilapia and rice with Texas Pete. I kept it simple. But I also noticed once I hit the 10iu mark I needed the 10:1 ratio. I could get away 8g, maybe 7g dextrose per iu if I kept it under 10.
 
I don’t do no fats, my post workout is usually a sockeye salmon sashimi and sushi rice or beef tenderloin and rice with 5g olive oil, I much prefer a salmon or steak post workout compared to whey or chicken

and this is during the slin window, yes? and if so, r u doing pre-wo or post-wo slin?
