I began using 5iu Humulin R post workout last week. I therefore increased my carbs (which were "low" to begin with - about 100 g per day) by 50 grams to increase the efficiency of the Slin. My protein and fats intake remained the same, except that I eliminated all fats for the 6 hours after the Slin shot.
My weight went from 203 lbs to 207 lbs. This was nice since I'd been stuck at about 203 lbs for about 2 weeks. My muscles look fuller and I still have nice vascularity, but I do notice a decrease in my "cut" factor. A perfect example is my delts - at 203 lbs the striations were deep and very noticable. At 207 lbs I must actually flex to get the striations to show. Secondly - my lower abs were cut and vascular whereas now the veins have disapeared mostly.
I believe that the 4 lbs weight gain is mostly water weight. I even look a little "puffy". I never used Slin while trying to remain ripped, and I doubt it's useful for me at this point. It was worth a shot, but I'm not going to continue the Slin.
