I've been doing a log book for 40 years. The last 25 years I've done it in excel. I weight myself everyday (habit from olympic lifting), I even log what I take to help me with sleeping, what time I took the meds, and how long I slept. Even how many times I got up to pee, what hurts the most. I'm in my 60s now, I gotta keep track of what works or I'll forget.
