So, Who Logbooks and Who Doesn't?

I've been doing a log book for 40 years. The last 25 years I've done it in excel. I weight myself everyday (habit from olympic lifting), I even log what I take to help me with sleeping, what time I took the meds, and how long I slept. Even how many times I got up to pee, what hurts the most. I'm in my 60s now, I gotta keep track of what works or I'll forget.
 
For bodybuilding logbooks (especially pre-constest) I think it is always important to list the rest interval. Let's say you hit a certain weight for x number of sets and reps. The next week you may get the same reps, but if you are doing it with slightly less rest, you have gotten stronger.
 
I use a freebie app called Fitnotes it's simple and works well. I have my workout already entered when I walk in the gym I just have to record PR's.
 
I log everything in my phone. Save it on my drive, ill have it forever! Haha
