Hi everybody, i haves some questions about food.
1)Do any of you have some information about protein food digestible?
For example how long 4 whole eggs is beeing digestible. If i will eat 4 eggs 7:00 a.m when i can eat another protein meal?
2)And how long food like curd, other milk products,protein shake or meat ar beein digestible?

Well im 16 and im not so rich, so i need to know that im not waisint my food..
Currenly im trying to use 1.8-2gr/1kg of protein? is it enough or too much?

A lot of guys like to get protein every four hours or so. The figures I have seen tossed around are a minimum of 35granms and usually at least 50 grams per meal. There are a lot, and I mean a lot of other factors: Bodyweight, metabolism, type of protein source, what else your eating, supplement use, etc.

From a common sense perspective (I can't back it up with as study) I have found that before I really paid attention I did not get enough protein first thing in the morning and had my last protein to soon before bedtime. I think these are two times to insure you get good protein that many people miss. Many of us also mix up protein shakes or LBA's and sip them during the day. I usually make a 32 oz bottle and drink it through the day at work just to insure I am covered. I actually put some of my powdered or liquid supplements in it as well.

If you can use the search function you will see that a lot of information is available about PWO (Post Workout) meals or shakes. Search for PWO and read that info.


As far as the amount of protein per Kilogram, that is a debated issue. A lot depends on the previously stated factors. The correct answer is "Enough to feed your processes and slow fat absorption, but not enough to make you get fat". Not a real answer, I know, but for most folks gettting the minimum of 35-50 grams per meal is the most critical. Most of us will do 50+ per meal. Also their are a lot of internet places that sell bulk protein powder, but not all powders are the same. I understand money is an issue, but eat as clean as you can, the eggs are a good start and buy the best quality protein powders you can.

Thanks for the info bro! Talking about protein i bought Dymatize Elite Whey, well its not the best, but i think not the worst too. I think i will use it post workuot and before bed. By the way my metabolism is veeery fast, i remember i used to eat a lot of junk food and i didnt earn fat. So when u have fast metabolism like mine, that means u have to eat extra hard to gain mass right?

I know you are 16 but how tall are you and what is your current weight?

Try this
eat 250gms protein, 200gms, carbs and 150gms of fats each day. Make sure the fats are of the good type. See if this gets you going lad. train hard and intense, do not get caught up in the silly boys games at the gym.Take your lifting seriously and when you need a spot ask one of the bigger guys at the gym to assist. At least they might know how to spot for someone. keep your weight increases mangeable and get your rest when you should. At 16 I would not worry too much about supps at this stage. get your nutrition from food, so spend your money wisely. You have a lot of growing to do, and most of us here ere in your shoes at one stage. So you are in the right place. Open your eyes, open your mind and close your mouth,except when eating LOL. learn from us here, do some reading, and you will get some seriously good results if you stay focused and dedicated.

I have a saying "WEIGHTS BEFORE DATES". Meaning, if you are meant to be training then go and do that, the pussy will wait, and if she doesn't, then find one that will!;) :D
I have plenty of 16 year old guys at my gym. They all know the drill! But you can still have fun, I make sure they do! HAHAHA. I give them little challenges each week or so to test their progress. They are safe challenges, not the "Let's see how much you can lift challenges".

Your stats are what mine where at your age, you got advice from 2 experience guys on this board, now I will put my .02 in. Old Fella gave you a good guidelines as far as protein, carbs, and fats. Dymatise is OK protein, but for the same money, I would but Optimun Gold Whey. Eat eggs, drink milk, and get chicken, tuna for cheap protein sources. Split your protein up during the day at 5-6 meals. Carbs sources that are cheap: fruit, vegtables, potatoes, rice. Stick to basic power movements for growth 3-4 days a week. You came to the best board on the net, listen and you will learn more in a year, than you would in 10 years.
