I just wanted to share with everyone this event so it doesnt happen to anyone else and also highlight a great person in this industry. I was contacted on MD about a supplement company that was looking for athletes to sponsor and compensate with a salary. This was before nationals that I got into communications with this so called company. I should have known that this deal was too good to be true but I went with it. I was being sponsored and compensated around $28,000 a year with company paying for travel and stay anywhere I had to go for competition or for photo ops for the company. This also included all supplements and apparel. I recieved a contract and even modified it slightly to suit myself and the company best. Well... this was all BS. I recieved one 2.5 lbs thing of whey in the 2 month sponsored athlete and recieved no paychecks as noted and stated in the contract. I was told several times packages were in the mail and checks were in the mail and what not. None of which were true. I was lied to about items being sent and then sent back because I was not home. I tried to keep an open mind being that this could be how many sponsored athletes are treated in the world of BBing. Well after the last lie and wasted time I did the right thing and terminated my contractual agreement, sent a certified letter and gave a 30 day notice. Until that 30 day notice is up I will not get into the name of this company so their isnt some useless unneeded legal retallation at any level. So my message to other compeitive BBers is please be wary of these "start up" companies and their promises. I luckily didnt do much for this company and im sure my pics may or may not be used illegally but it is what it is. Be very skeptical and ask many questions or maybe have a lawyer go over the contract, get some supplement samples and if they promise $$ then you need to get that ahead of time or when stated in the contract. In all of this I would like to thank my gal Em for making sure to "cross all the t's and dot the i's" good people like Dusty and AWN2004 for their guidance and most importantly people like Dante from True Protein. Not only has he been a man of his word and does as he says, he also helped me countless times through this mess and guided me to what was best for me to do. There are few people in the industry of BBing that are genuine and caring as much as he is. So I would like to thank him and do whatever I can do to promote him. Because in buisness your not just buying the product your buying the person who is selling the product.... and hes as good as it gets.

This wasnt a long term vestment, and if they couldnt pay any portion of my salary do you honestly think this "company" actually had money? Probably the most I'd win is a court decision and that'd be me wasting more of my time and then my money to get more nothing in return. It was a lesson learned not a huge finanacial investment for me. Its a shady world out there and just want to help others to not waste their life and time on something that is worthless like this venture. To learn from my mistakes.

Probably the most I'd win is a court decision and that'd be me wasting more of my time and then my money to get more nothing in return.

As much as it saddens me for you, I guess you're right.

Just make sure when the 30 days are over to let everyone know who they are and how they treat their athletes/employees.

A company that has so little ethics can't be really be serious either when it comes to the quality of its products...

There are so many companies out there in every industry that just prey on people. There really isn't much you can do about it. Sometime the only winners in a law suit is the lawyers. I think you did the right thing cutting your losses. There will be other legitimate sponsors. This just makes you smarter so you'll know what to look out for.

It is what it is... I felt it was a opportunity and you never know until you try and feel it out. It was a risk but it didnt work out. I just wanted to see if this could benefit me in the world of bodybuilding. But it did not. I appreciate everyones support; I just want others to learn from the experience and also know what to look for. Much like Dante and True Protein their are good legitimate companies out there ready to take care of there sponsored atheletes.
