steroids effects on thyroid

is low thyroid a common side effect of prolonged steroid use ?
after taking my temps for a few wks it appears i may have low thyroid ,this would explain alot of problems ive had recently .

is this quite common ?have any of you had the same problem ?

it's not common but it's possible

I know AAS impacts cortisol, so that could be it. Cortisol/thyroid work together. One being off messes with the other.

you can't be 100% sure unless you do some blood work comparing TSH/T3/T4 before and after

Mine ends up in the toilet if I stay on high dosage too long according to my blood work. My thyroid literally stops working.

Is this a risk for me taking 500-600mgs of test.e for 12 weeks? That's a pretty long time I s'pose.

Go Get Blood Work.

1.TSH
2.FREE T3
3.FREE T4

ALL THOSE 3 Thyroid test need to be taken, NOT JUST TSH.

I recommend a TSH AT ALL TIME Between 0.5 to 1.5 for Optimal Metabolism. Never Over 2.0

Keep in mind Cortisol and Thyroid are intereliated, If you take too much T3 you could really fuck you up by OverStressing your Adrenal glands, which will in turn cease to make any Cortisol, then you will be fucked for good.

In the package insert for Testosterone it states that androgens decrease thyroid levels. You don't need a lot to supplement. 12.5mcg of T3 or 50mcg of T4 will do.

Well I've been on test for over a year now. Most of the time at a low dose but with a few blasts' mixed in. I also used T3 at fairly high doses last summer and stopped cold-turkey. I got blood taken in January this year and my free T3/T4 and TSH were all good.

I can see your curiosity in asking others for their experiences but your best bet is to just get the tests run. Otherwise, it's all conjexture on your part.

im really interested to know if heavy users etc take a replacement thyroid dose ?

i havent had bloods done yet but my temps and symptoms seem to confirm hypothyroid
