ive been on supplements for 10 weeks. the past 2 blood tests ive had my BUN was a little bit high (5-28)...was 28,,,then 30. the 30 was about a month ago,,,so i was on supps then too.
i decided to go in and get some blood work,,,,and this time BUN was normal, creatinine was high,,and sodium was low. here are the important numbers...
BP 118/67
pulse 59
weight 187
height 70
bmi - 26.9
Urine test,,,,everything was a ok..no protein in blood doc says...here are the bad bloods
seg 75.3 (45-75)
na 125 (135-145)
cl 92 (97-108)
BUN 25 (5-26) was normal this time unlike the last 2
creatinine 1.7 (0.5- 1.5)
The doc is concerned about the creatinine, and the sodium being low...some info....
I work outside all day,,sweaty,,,100 degree heat,,i prolly drink 3-5 gallons a day, but im thirsty,,i piss all day long. My guess and the doc's guess why my sodium is low, but is this dangerous? Should i add sea salt? Drink less water?
As for the creatinine, my last workout was cardio, about 20 hours prior to the test. My last weight lifting was about 54 hours prior to the blood test. I did have 8oz of chicken breast, rice, and green beans about 45 min to an hour prior to the test. Drank loads of water today
The doc seems to think that the high creatinine reading might be due to the sodium being depleted because of so much water,,,and thought both could mean a serious problem. This did not make sense to me, i would think being overhydrated would make a creatinine level look lower than it actually is.
Wondering what some of you guys think about these bloods and what you would advise.
Thanks
