I mentioned that, indirectly. I've never seen training raise AST / ALT as much as OPs numbers though.

i had values exceeding 500 when ive done legs the evening before blood work or ALT/AST. GGT was in rage.
there are studies done on marathon runners where ALT/AST exceed 1000 the day after the marathon.
This usually goes hand in hand ith sky high CK values and more often than not microhematuria

ok that makes sense

my CK levels are constantly elevated - so much so that they wanted to test me for various autoimmune and myopathies

but to the degree that mine are out of range?

I'm 68 years old and here is one I just had done.

I'm on TRT, 4 pumps a day and my level is at 300. My Dr. wont put me on the shots until my levels come down. So I will take a week off at the end of the month and retest.

This is common knowledge on these forums (ie easy to search) but I thought I'd add, AST and ALT are both released from muscle damage, however AST moreso than ALT by a wide margin. Howerver, the halflife of AST is about 24 hours, whereas the halflife of ALT is about 48 hours. So you can see you'd need several days off from muscle damage to see an accurate result of liver stress.

Also, just something as benign as testosterone alone, even in the half a gram rage, can easily stress the liver enough to double AST/ALT values even without exercise in many people.

GGT was well within range, so I guess my liver is looking alright despite the other figures being out of range

Surgery is next Monday

Good information here , I was caught off guard with this lab work today ..


Alt came in at 109, its Never been this high or even close .
I did have an intense leg work out less then 48 hours ago
"legs are sore"

I have a new Vit b which I took with dinner last night.
2000mcg.
I took labs at 10 am

test , free test came in about 30 percent higher than I planned !

after reading this I feel much better


I will look into this GGT test moving forward
