thousands of people die from tylenol every year. The one specific story, the guy took 20 tylenols. Heck, I've taken 5-6 in the past during the day, one time 8 total, now that's scary!

Yep if this were to be steroid related, I would think there would be
many more cases then just these two guys.

No way that the autopsy results where conclusive as a cause of death. I did not read in depth but I noticed that one of the guys had some scarring of the heart. This "can" be a result of and is usually seen with cocaine use. Guess we will never really know why these guys dropped dead. A test ratio of 42 I'm assuming means that his test levels were 42 times higher than the normal 2 to 1 ratio. I am guessing that he was on about 3-4 grams a week of test which is very high. Sudden death happens a lot more everday than people think. This report is guessing at best. Just MHO.

If one male using AAS experiences sexual dysfunction in his 40s, suddenly AAS cause sexual dysfunction (even if the actual ration of AAS users suffering sex dysfunction compared to the broader population is lower).

Interesting study, but really pretty inconclusive.

This statement:
Segmentation of the myocardial cells and/or widening of intercalated discs and bundles of contracted myocardium alternating with bundles of distended myocardium with granular disruption of the myocytes were noted in all myocardial sections.

:is very similar to what happens with cocaine abuse.


The fact that there was no hypertrophy, not atherosclerosis of the coronary arteries, no mentioned dilatation of the ventricle, no atrial enlargement, etc., kind of makes it seem that there is no conclusive evidence.

The real interesting part of the study is the effects on the liver.
