A few weeks ago I had stents put in in a couple of my arteries. Luckily they were discovered early so I had no heart damage. I had one artery that was about 50% blocked but the doctors gave me medication instead and decided not to stent that artery.
Unluckily I live in a rough neighborhood and a few days ago my girlfriend and I were jumped. I managed to fight the guy off, but in the process I had a heart attack. My girlfriend helped to get me to hospital and it turned out that the plaque in the 50% blocked artery had ruptured.
I got to the hospital quite quickly but there was still some damage to my heart. Right now my heartbeat is racing and irregular even when I'm at rest. Even some light activity like climbing stairs will make my heart pound as if I ran a marathon. It was never like this before. I have cardiac rehab scheduled but I was wondering if there are any supplements I can take to improve my ejection fraction? Thanks.
