Telmisartan

I know many of you/us use telmisartan for blood pressure control as well as for its metabolic effects. Just learned that there may be a correlation between Telmisartan and the other drugs in its class and lung cancer from an article in the Wall Street Journal. Anyone have any thoughts on this. I believe Aduren may have some insight as he is doing research in the field. Just wanted to give a heads up.

Yes I use Micardis for my hypertension. I've never read anything on it that says it can lead to lung cancer. Do you have any legit studies or articles that say so? My doc has put me on a variety of hypertension meds and Micardis is the one I tolerate the best w/o, my heart rate jumping up or having too many other nasty side effects.

Just google "metabolic alchemy" and you will see the article that refers to the study and wall street journal article. In fact, that is the site where I first learned of the potential benefits of telmisartan.
