Tendinitis recovery

I think I have tendinitis in my pec/shoulder tendon, I'll find out after I go to the doc.
I know there's a lot of things to stop the pain like cortisol injections, anti-inflammatory meds and surgery but they do nothing to actually solve the problem. I've tried some plain ol' rest, taking months off sometimes, and the problem always came back.
I've heard deep tissue and other therapy work to actually correct the problem. Have any of you guys done deep tissue massage or other types of therapy for tendinitis? What was it like? Did it work? How long was your recovery?

If you have taken months off and the tendon has recovered, only to get sore again once you start up I would say its your training methods. Something you are doing is wrong for you and needs to be changed. Probably overstressing that area with exercise, overtraining it.

Yeah, I had to start training my rotator muscles specifically to help my pain go away. I did stop all overhead pressing and the pain went away, but I started the rotator exercises just to be safe. Perviously, before quitting the overhead pressing, I had some success with doing the rotator exercises. BTW, my shoulder development never suffered from stopping the overhead presses.
 
bro i have bicep tendonitis right now. Its been almost 4 months since ive been in the gym, and after 3 weeks of physical therapy ( steroid cream, and ultrasound), it feels 20% better. I dont know what to do....... It REALLY SUCKS!! Its one of those injurys that will always be on the back burner i think.....
 
ART

Try Active release therapy (ART), it is a form of deep tissue massage but you move as they push through the muscle, from a contraction to a stretch, I like it a lot, works great on my IT bands in my thighs for my tendinitis in my knees and I use a foam roller a lot on them..
 
I get tendonitis in my right forearm so bad sometimes I cannot even curl an olympic bar with no weight on it! hurts that bad! The last time it happened it took about 4 months to heal, I worked around it in that 4 months but it has come back again. No more curling with the olympic bars for me!

I know it works for "lubing" joints, does it work for tendons as well? How so?

Well, you better get using that Deca you've got laying around because last night I spent about 2-3 hours reading many papers that verify that Deca DOES increase collagen synthesis. So do Anavar & EQ.

Personally, I think EQ is best because of the appetite stim thing. Plus Deca causes the dreaded "Deca dick" in many guys. Some guys seem to be immune to Deca dick, but I'm betting that they still don't get the appetite increase that many EQ users report getting.

I'm thinking a nice cycle would be 300mg Test E, 300mg Deca, 300mg EQ, with 20-60mg Proviron ED to bind SHBG.

Throw some GH in there & your tendonitis will be historical.

That's probably the cause as I am sure I don't over train it.

I found that yesterday too! Looks promising. I like the fact that it "permanently strengths tendons/ligaments". There's only one doctor I found in my city and I am planning on making an appointment soon.
