so ive just started up football training again, and now i have some HORRIBLE tendonitis in my left ankle. every time i plant on it or after a few 100 yrd sprints, the pain just gets unbearable. it starts on the inside of my ankle and shoots up about 1/3 of my shin (where the pain is the WORST). its to the point where im limping up and down the field during sprints. after it gets going, it hurts for hours. putting any pressure on it at all just kills. ive been seeing our trainer and doing some physical therapy, but all thats done is make it worse. plus, to manage the pain ive been taking anywhere between 6-9 aspirin a day, which can't be good.
does anyone have any advice for the tendonitis or some alternative to the aspirin so i dont end up ulcers and sh*t?? staying off of it is impossible, im going to have to run on it at least twice a week, plus position-specific drills at least 3x a week. any advice?
