why is Jelena Abbou not winning shows? when i look at her (my opinion.) she is muscular, has nice lines, is very femminine,atractive face, nice hair,is very symetrical, just has the complete package. what else can she improve on? i predicted some time ago she would be getting more popular and sure enough now i have been seeing her on more covers and in more mags.
opinons?
aslo who do you guys think is the best overal figure compeditor?
i know its like apples and oranges but opinions?

This is our ( Natalie and I) favorite physique in figure right now......Great Physique and great looking! She actually is shaped like a women....very curvacious.......I just made that word up...lol...

look at the tiny waist, the taper, glute whic are hard but not too hard, long limbs but not stringy, overall a very fit and "flowing" physique. not saying shes the best in the world in everyones eye but to be placing 13th in shows?????ummmm i dont get it.

Yep. I saw in person on stage and I was suprised to see how soft she looked compared to the other competitors. She is a pretty girl but that's about it.

Vulgar hit it on the head. She's always picked apart when it comes to upper and lower not matching. With symmetry between conditioning and muscular development not matching lower to upper. Beautiful girl imo!

Now I'm no judge but I have to agree with kaiser to a point. They have standards but they seem to change them from show to show. I have been on the comp scene for a long time. I have sat and correctly picked and placed BBers in a line up. I do know what to look for. But I have tried to pick the winners and placers in figure and have not hit it right yet. it seems that most of the audience agrees with what I am saying here too. The number of times the judges have awarded a competitor only to have the audience in an uproar is amazing. Gald I do not have to judge this category in our sport!

You're absolutely right...it is very hard to judge. That is why we have 7 judges and the highest and the lowest scores are thrown out. We are trying to avoid individual likes and dislikes and get the best unbiased average. I have been judging for more than 18 years and I have seen just about everything. What I look for is the best overall balanced physique. I look for balance between muscularity as well as conditioning and who brings the best package to the stage at that moment in time. That's it, it's actually easy for me. However someone else will no doubt have a slightly different opinion than me and that is why there are 7 judges to try and be fair to everyone.

As far as this competitor, I can only speak for myself but I would like to see a better conditioned lower body, slightly more developed calves and hamstrings and also lateral thigh to add a little sweep making her waist appear smaller.

That being said she is very beautiful and in great shape, you need to understand as a judge I am being very picky.

Thanks for that reply. I was hoping one of our resident judges would chime in here. As for this girl i think someone noted that her upper and lower parts are out of synch. I would like to see a bit more back developement from the rear and yes better conditionong through the legs also. But she is one of the more attractive out there.
