Can anyone validate or disprove the statements below? My wife and I are going to start cutting and have ordered some Thyroid.

WHOLE (Thyroid R/X®)
Dr. Dean recommends whole-natural thyroid over synthetic because it covers a fuller spectrum of thyroid hormones, including T1, T2, T3 and T4.

Whole thyroid extracts are of porcine origin and measured in grains, 60mg = 1 grain. One grain or higher dosages usually require temperature monitoring and occasional blood tests. Persons with more serious thyroid conditions are sometimes prescribed dosages up to 3 to 5 grains daily.

Quarter grain whole thyroid supplements (15mg) provide a lower potency and as such provide a general support to an aging thyroid condition. However, long-term use of quarter-grain whole thyroid extracts may also require occasional breaks and blood monitoring.

Dosages of whole thyroid extracts depend on your age and thyroid condition. As a rough guide they are 15mg to 30mg daily increasing to 60mg daily after a couple of weeks if necessary. Your physician MUST direct higher dosages. Whenever necessary, increase or decrease your thyroid dosage as slowly as possible over days and weeks.

I thought the only thing that was good for cutting was T-3. Experience has shown that T-4 was pretty much worthless, so I don't see how any of the others would work as well either. As cheap as T-3 is, I'd just stick with that.
 
T4, which makes up 90% of the hormone produced by the thyroid, doesn't perform the way we would hope. In fact, T4 is converted via the enzyme deiodinase to T3, which is far more biologically potent than T4. Unfortunately T3 has a pretty short half life, especially compared to T4. T4 will stay in your body and will convert to T3 as needed, while T3 is already in an active form. T2 is only mildly active, and I don't know much about T1. Personally, I would stick with the straight T3.
