Really bad pull session

More irresponsible behaviour. Had a dutch friend visiting town and he wanted to party a bit. Haven't seen him in a while so we stayed out a bit late, but I abstained from drinking and din't have any unplanned retarded cheat meals. Literally had chicken breast, tuna, and veggies at a japanese place so I am not counting that as a cheat or refeed at all. But none-the-less disrupting circadian ryhtmn fucked me up hard and my training was shit today and it's my fault and I deserve it and I am really not living the hermit lifestyle I need to be living now that I have literally reached the 8 week out mark... I guess i can start up the winny pretty soon here so that'll be fun. Tomorrow I can have some retarded cheat meals... well.... at least some reasonably high carbohydrate meals maybe up to about 650-700 though not 1000g. And mostly from chicken breast+thigh mix+rice+pineapple, some toast with honey, cereal, etc. No retarded asshole pizza or anytthing.

Pull
Chinups: bwx16,11,9,7
Row machine: 4 sets failure
Pulldowns: 1.5ppsx18,15,12
EZ curls//pushdowns: 20kgx12,12,10,8//15kgx20,20,15,13,10

I was too wiped to even do another superset for arms, so went home and napped. Had to do some coaching in the afternoon or I would have slept all day and then hit training later. Or well... hope that will be the last interruption. BW 94.6 which makes the chinup underperformance even more laughable as I was doing the same reps at 97kg bw.

How are you today
I had a pull workout and a very surprising jump up to 97.4kg... the day after the high day I was 96.3, the day before high day I was 94.5 iirc. Workout went well and I have no idea why I was so watery... probably just inflammation+estrogen related.

Pull:
NG chins: bwx17,13,11, 7, 5
Overhand rows: 80kgx20
underhand: 70kgx10x4

SS1
EZ curls//pushdowns 20kgx12,12,12,9// 15kgx20,20,20, 10, 12

SS2
Preacher curls: 15kgx4 sets failure
DB skullcrushers: 7.5kgx20,20,15,12,10

I'm supposed to do hamstring focused legs tonight. Both quads and hamstrings are still very sore from last time. I will likely just take the day off completely from lifting and just do ~40 minutes of posing practice followed by walking and bicycling outdoors.

Took out carbs completely and upped fats to around 150g. Got a ton of that weird water off. Bone dry but still some bodyfat on lower body and flat. BW on the gym scale I normally use 92.6. Finally bought a home scale and weighed in at 90.1. Although i mostly did that to get rid of mysterious water, I kinda feel like finishing the prep just doing high fat 0 direct carbs because I actually feel really good. I'm way flatter than usual and even this deload session felt "hard", but I feel much better than when I was dieitng on carbohydrates. I'm doing a generic cookie cutter palumbo thing except 2 fatty protein meals and less nuts instead of a lean protein meal+lots of nuts.

M1 7 medium eggs (same serving size as 6 large eggs) 10g butter melted on top
M2 25g almond butter+.5oz skim milk+2 scoops whey mixed into a pudding
M3 225g salmon+7 cashews+cup of broccoli
M4 Repeat 2
M5 Repeat 3
M6 Repeat 1

Push deload:
Machine press: 50x12,10,10
slight incline db: 25kgx12x2
Incline fly machine: 2 sets
Other fly machine: 2 sets
Delt raises: 4 sets failure
DB ohp: 15kgx10x2

I added a fat burner from Condemned labs called Arsyn. It has synephrine, caffeine, yobimine, and a few other stimulants and non stimulant fat burners. Serving size 2 pills, took one pill this morning and pretty cracked out. Which is a very good sign because lately my appetite isn't a problem and I don't feel cravings/hunger, but i do feel extremely fatigued so any sort of stim based fat burner than wakes me up a bit is great. I'll upload pics later today of classic mandatories; decided I need to do a rear shot for my fave classic pose because other than my most muscular shot, but back shots are way better than my front shots and most classic poses are front shots unfortunately for me.

Awesome thread man and you are looking great.
The interesting part to me is just life in China. Funny the people think that about Covid, because here people say it’s an attack from china lol

But the gear part and everyday life is very cool to hear some first hand experience.
Thanks for sharing and keep

Wow thanks man! Means a lot coming from a forum OG like yourself who's been on here since I was in junior high school and has probably seen a lot of training logs come and go. I'd like to have one of those multi-year immortalized training logs like Pinkton of Luki some day. I am thinking I will move my log to the main forum section once I finish this contest. I'm doing well during this prep, but I was decidedly not kicking ass during this offseason. Hopefully next go around we'll rectify this!

Here's my classic mandatories flat first thing AM plus a slightly pumped locker room swolefie

Regarding China stuff...

Reading back on my own thread, I think it sounds like I view China pretty negatively. Occasionally, in moments of mental clarity, I remember all of the problems of the two places I came from (Colombia and America) and I am VERY glad to be here. It's just after 7 years you sometimes forget the place you left and it's easy to focus in on what's bad and take for granted what's good. We're also in a particularly tough time with covid policy and xi's re-appointment to third term, but I expect it to pass and things to be 'good' again. If mainland starts trying to mobilize on Taiwan, things will get VERY bad for foreigners here very quickly like concentration camp level shit. If that happens while I'm living here I will definitely get out as soon as possible.

Overall though, I'm really satisfied with this place. Western culture is dying... it's no secret to anyone. Guys on this forum know it... we might disagree on what the causes of the west's cultural suicide actually are, but the symptoms are there. We might disagree with what the solutions are, and disagree greatly, but we all know things have gotten bad in the west and we keep getting worse and worse. The future is scary to all of us and it feels like western countries and the people living there are on an inevitable crash course with national destruction and decay. Nearly everyone born after 1980 is worse off than their parent were at the same age by every conceivable metric except for stupid shit like iphones, netflix, television, and pizza huts.

China, for the locals at least but even for foreigners, is all optimisim. The culture is strong... it has aspects that either don't benefit me or actively hurt my well being, but as a nation it's headed in a VERY positive direction. Inequality is down, opportunity is up, living standards keep rising, people are happier overall, things are safe, there isn't this national disunity and constant political (and sometimes violent) conflict over culture and ideas. My salary has more than doubled since I arrived here nearly 7 years ago and plenty of the locals have similarly experienced huge increases in living standards. It really is a gift that I can live in a country on such a trajectory economically and culturally instead of one that's heading into the toilet.

And Chinese women will always be my favorite on the planet. They have the perfect mix of elegance and grace that you might find in more developed east Asian nations like Japan or Korea but have some that 'ride-or-die' fun loving willing to get on the back of your motorcycle type of attitude you find in good black and latina women. They have very little of the entitled arrogance of western white women who are 30lbs overwiehgt and yet feel they are settling for you because you are anything less than 6'2 with 200k/yr and a flawless jawline. SEA women may be more fun for a night or for a week, but they are impulsive, deceptive, and have poor future time orientation. Chinese women have just the right amount of hoe-ishness, enough to be more exciting than frigid Japanese or Korean ice queens, but not so much they become flighty or unstable. I can imagine living in Thailand, but the % of Thai women I could marry is much smaller than the % of Chinese women I could marry or really share my life with.

It has problems just like any other nation, but overall its a big step up. It's a bit like a romantic relationship... there's ups and downs and times when you can't stand life with your partner, but deep down you love them and they'd have to do something really egregious to get you to leave.

So anyway... I hope anyone reading this log doesn't think I hate the place where I live... It's okay to love China in 2022.

Pull deload
NG chins: bwx7,8,10 short rests
underhand rows: 60kgx10x3
EZ preacher SS db tricep skullcrushers: 20kgx15,15,12,12//7.5kgx20,20,20,20,11

Mood/energy are very poor. The palumbo diet has liberated me from any cravings or feeling of hunger, but I have a lot of feelings of emptiness/anhedonia. I wouldn't say sadness, thankfully. And certainly not anxiety... almost the opposite.. like things that should either bother me or make me happy are doing neither. It's this "void" state which is almost zenlike awareness of the exact present moment and time slows to a crawl. I feel robotic... almost the opposite of the nervous wreck/aggressive and paranoid symptoms typically associated with trenbolone. Like I'm content to just stare at a wall and listen to some music with a completely empty mind.

Palumbo gets so much shit lately for being "cookie cutter" and not paying attention to people. But I can see why this cookie cutter strategy is probably really effective on a very high % of people. You don't even really have an urge to cheat or have crappy food and it's easy to just forget to eat. If this is how most people react to this dietary strategy and I were a coach with a shit ton of clients, I'd give this to the ones I don't know that well too and only make adjustments if I know somebody is worthwhile and going to stick around. I might try out the other "cookie cutter" carb plan he has where he has the client do 1 day with ~120-150g carbs and one day of fats+protein 0 carb and plays around with the ratio of those two days based on performance/weight loss. I would definitely use sweet potato over rice in this plan of his though. For now I will not change anything though.

It's embarassing so I didn't wanna post about it but I guess I should as a warning to any readers. I've never run masteron at 400mg. My first prep I simply didn't use it at all and came into the show at 350 tren ace, no test the last 4, and 100mg winstrol/day.

I reacted very poorly to mast at 400mg and had to drop it this. Saturday was my last shot. I got enlarged prostate symptoms that caused me a LOT of pain. Immediately got on finasteride which I can get otc here plus "flomax" for some temporary relief and some traditioanl Chinese medicine which has saw palmetto extract and a ton of other unknown stuff. Flomax has provided some relief but there's still a low grade pain.

My prep stack was a home brewed tren mast test short estered combo vial, so i don't have ACE on hand. I have tren enanthate and with more than 6 weeks to go I don't really want to buy ace. My stack will be 500 sust 400 tren enanthate, inject superdrol (which as I posed above has a great cosmetic effect even if the strength gains were not good), and winstrol going into the show. I won't be dropping test this time. I have letro and might take half a tab per day last week.

Prostate update:

The Flomax medicine's side effects eventually became worse than the thing they were treating. I was sleeping 14 hours a day and barely awake when I wasn't asleep and having some penis pain. Yesterday was my last dose and the prostate pain is more manageable now. I added 5mg/day cialis and that has helped massively plus I'm sure the finasteride is finally kicking in.

I feel very "blue", depressed, and anhedonic. Like I keep asking myself "why am I a bodybuilder? this is dumb and not really that satisfying" which are super dangerous thoughts to have at 6 weeks out. I often feel this way around this time of the school year since the work is done and all I do when I go to school every day is proctor exams and sit around the office and it feels so purposeless. But in this case I'm 99.x% sure I am not having any sort of identity crisis and this is because of the flomax, finasteride, and very low blood pressure causing me to feel mentally bad. The diet has been super easy and I'm able to stick to 2500 calories no direct carbs without feeling hungry. By next week this prostate stuff will be resolved and I'll feel happy and excited to bodybuild again.

Today's training was a mess still dealing with side effects of flomax and lethargy

Machine press: 52.5kgx19x,9,7
paused Incline db press: 25kgx12x3
Machine fly: 1 set
delt raises: 3 sets

Was nearly falling asleep by the time I got to the db presses.

I already feel a million times better than yesterday. I decided I'm gonna do triceps on push day like a normal person and biceps on only pull day. I was severely detrained after not going hard enough on this deload and probably the medicine lingering in my system taking down performance. This felt really hard despite being only 8 sets. I'll be reconditioned to this within a few more sessions; I am not worried.

NG chins: bwx19 (seasonal best, best I've done since starting this log I think), 13, 9
Underhand rows: 70kgx16, 10
Low row: 3 sets of 12-20
Preacher curls: 15kgx5 sets
Hammer curls: 10kgx10,7,9

It's nuts how much Palumbo keto obliterates my appetite. Like even more than orals. And then I ordered my mcdonalds cheat last night dreading eating it and it went down super easy... thought I'd be super full and bloated. No problem at all. I'm still incredibly flat and my vascularity is way down. The cheat basically didn't help at all despite being 2k calories in a sitting. I'm just too paranoid to do a proper high day again or switch to the "palumbo EOD keto" cookie cutter diet. Plus who cares if you're flat 6 weeks out; as long as you aren't flat on stage.

Stack going into show: 500 test e, 400 tren e, 50mg EOD inject winstrol (oil based), 25mg/day oral winstrol. fat burners and mk677 and all the other stuff the same as before no changes.

Somehow zero doms from yesterday, yet my chest is still a bit sore from 2 days ago's half assed workout? idk...

Classic Mandatories AM fasted: I finally figured out front double bicep

1652664818071.jpeg 1652664828553.jpeg 1652664842376.jpeg 1652664857738.jpeg 1652664874855.jpeg

88kg morning fasted. Hamstrings finally get a bit of definition. I am sad that I won't be in shape until I'm 86 or even 84-85kg. We've got a lot of work to do in offseason. I think it's time to hire either Justin Harris or Justin Compton to yell at me to eat more meat and rice. Or perhaps @165StateChamp will take on his first offseason client.

Trying to get out of ketosis so that I can not have the urge to pee every 15-40 minutes because urinating that often when your prostate is inflamed and enlarged is very bad. I slammed about 150g from breakfast cereal immediately after I got home from work. Felt incredibly stuffed; it's 4 hours and a workout later and I still don't feel any hunger. Instead I just got sick, felt like throwing up, massive headache. But I lifted and got some crazy pumps and vascularity and my physique came back to life literally as I was eating.

Legs
Hamstring curls: 42.5kgx12x2, x9
Paused HBBS: 60kgx13, 80kgx13x2
calves

embarassing... 180kg for an easy triple to this in a few short months lol.

Push

Machine press: 52.5kgx19, 12, 9
Paused DB incline: 25kgx12, 7, 10
Machine incline flie: 3 sets
Machine overhead press: 3 sets
Pushdowns: 15kgx30,20,20,11
DB skullcrushers SS db delt raises: 4 sets each

I'm gonna experiment with shorter rest periods for back training later today. Yesterday's push session was amazing b/c it was fueled by huge amount of carbs after being 0 carb for so many days in a row. Henceforth I'll probably do only two 0 carb days per week on an off day and one other day... probably a pull day since back is a strong bodypart. Other days I'll keep it around 150-200g for now.

Pull
Chins: bwx15,7,5,4,5 with very short rests around 60-90 seconds. I used to 5+ minutes between chins.
Machine rows: 40kgx22,12,9
Pulldowns: 95kgx11, 70kgx14, 9

Spider curls: 4 sets, prefer ez bar to dumbbells
barbell curls: 20kgx16,8,6

Felt really good. I'm loving this new training style. Only literally 13 years into my overall lifting career and in the 4th year of training for actual bodybuilding and I think I've FINALLY settled on my preferred methods. It's kinda the polar opposite of the lower volume powerbuilding stuff I was doing when I started this log. This just feels so much better and I'm predicting I get injured far less often training like this. I'm thinking I'll take the "intentionally limited rest periods" philosophy into my leg training as well... don't think bbers should ever be resting more than 3 minutes, MAYBE 5 between the second to last and last squat sets or something.

Legs

Hamstring curls: 42.5kgx15x3
Leg press: 3ppsx20x3 rests with 1 minute and then 1.5 minutes with some calves afterword
SLDL: 60kgx10, 80kgx10x3 (90 seconds rest)

Could have spent more time on calves but was being a bitch. The other 3 lifts felt absolutely great and I don't feel all that burnt out from this week of training.

I guess 6 on 2 off seems to fit me well. I kinda like that the days off rotate and aren't the same every week. This would have been impossible when my sessions were long so leg days or days i deadlift need to be on a specific day where I'm not super busy the next day, but that's no longer a concern because I'm never totally exhausted after any given session like I used to be.

Yesterday's Push

Machine press: 52.5kgx22, 9, 7 ( I can't remember the last 2 sets reps clearly, maybe it was 12,9?)
Incline db press: 25kgx12x2, 8, 9
Incline cable fly: 3 sets failure
Shoulder press machine: 3 sets failure
Pushdowns: 15kgx30, 11, 9, 9, 8

Superset DB prone delt raises and db skullcrushers with 5kg and 7.5kg dbs respectively: 5 sets each

bw 90.45kg outta bed. Today fasted. This weekend involved low sleep, staying up late, and a huge amount of carbs. Lady stuff as usual. But ironically this helped me pick the right foods for the high carb day (s)... ate a bunch of mostly low fat high carbohydrate snack food type things. This rules on most musculars being used in "favorite classic pose" seem to be changing to where it's suddenly allowed which is great news for me b/c my all of my most muscular variations (cept crab) look really good. Usually classic does 2 rounds of mandatories for every 1 round that open does, so I'll rotate between side tricep as my "favorite classic pose" and the "classic most muscular". The "classic rear lat spread" was too hard to hit consistently without losing my balance and I think my side tricep looks better than that actually. Really pleased with how front double bicep is looking now; this was by far the most difficult pose for me to learn how to do correctly.
