wanted to ask the experts given these two scenarios, which is better

to use the same weight and do 5 sets of 10 for a total of 50 reps

or

to use the same weight as above and rep out on each of the 5 sets but still only total 50 reps

In both cases the end result of number of reps and sets are the same but the intensity is different.

How is the intensity going to be different, your using the same weight and the same # of reps??


Unless your saying to give one set of the five all you can get (ex maybe 13 reps on one set), and then sell yourself short on the other 4 because your trying to stay within a total of 50 reps??

This is overly complicated. Just lift to failure.
 
You're making it way too complicated, dude, just like the guy before me said. You're over-thinking it.
 
understand, thanks, sometimes it is easy to forget to keep it simple. I enjoy the short intense, but sometimes begin to overthink things.
