It was a pretty good weekend, got in some good training and went to a Power Lifting Meet. I saw a 21 year old kid squat 1003 lbs, his tear ducts exploded and shot his contacts out while ascending. It was awesome.!

That's not me in the pics bro. It's a PL meet I went to this weekend. That kid is 21 years old. He did 1003 on squat, 760 on bench, and I left before he dead lifted. I'm the weak dude in the video.

I was at that meet, too! The whole event was pretty cool - I had 3 buddies competing so I was in the warm up room most of the day. All in all it was a really awesome event. I wish I could've stayed for the deadlifts but it was so late by the time they started my friends that I rode up with and I just wanted to get home(2 hour drive).

That 21 year old is Logan Lacey. He was a damn good OL at either Baylor or TCU(I can't remember which) and had a very good future but suffered 7 concussions in a year's time and had to stop playing. I talked with him a bit and was super impressed with his character and personality. Very mature for a 21 y.o. IMO - and very nice as well. He kept calling me "sir"...lol I got such a kick out of that.

Oh and btw I'm not 100% positive but I think he pulled around 800...

There were some insanely large humans at that meet. The only thing that really threw me off was the amount of guys who bombed out. I mean it was obvious that they had done a meet or two... Why not start with a weight you can get?!

There were some insanely large humans at that meet. The only thing that really threw me off was the amount of guys who bombed out. I mean it was obvious that they had done a meet or two... Why not start with a weight you can get?!

Agreed. From what I could make out of all the chatter in the warm up room several of the lifters hadn't planned on doing a meet so early in the year but whatever. Still kind of silly imo - like you said, start with a weight you can get!

And yes, there were some big ass mofos there. By no means am I "huge" but I do stand at 6'3" and am somewhere around 290 - 295 lbs and I haven't felt so small and average since I played football in college 10 years ago! There were several dudes back there anywhere from 5 - 10 years younger(and hell, some 10+ years older) that just dwarfed me! lol
