Holy smokes that game was AWESOME. I still like the ND/USC game better, but I have really liked College FB this year more than others. Reggie Bush reminds me of a young Ladanian Tomlinson, he could take it to the house on any given posession.

Miami got embarassed also -- it is gonna be USC and Texas in the Rose bowl and it is gonna be a lot better than what OKlahoma put out in last years Championship. Congrats to Joe Paterno and Penn State, 1st BCS appearance! Way to go Joe Pa!

I was hoping USC would lose and Penn State would get in the championship game. The Big Ten is the toughest conference in the country, these teams just beat the piss out of each other week after week, Penn State deserves it. I hope Texas smokes USC, I think USC is very beatable this year. That game last night looked like a good one, it wasn't on TV here in the midwest though.

I am very impressed with PENN's speed...and they are young...watch out for them next year.

I too would like to see USC lose...their corners are not so good...I think TEXAS will take advantage of that and beat them.

If ND would have beat USC, who knows where ND would be in the whole BCS bowl games.

Really Good Game!

It seems like wherever USC goes and plays, they have epic games, at least this year. I was at the USC/Arizona St. game, that was a great game too. For a while there everyone thought that ASU was going to win that game. Then USC got that pick and returned it for a touchdown. I think the best game of the year is yet to come, USC/UCLA, Coliseum, Dec 3. Should be an epic matchup, we will have to see of the Bruins can continue with their unbelievable comebacks.

Reggie Bush is just redicilous!!!

When he touches the ball.....sh!t happens :D

Amazing talent!!!

Nothing personal, but you honestly believe the big ten's conference is tougher than the SEC confused: ??? The SEC had 7 or 8 teams in the top 25 at one point this year (out of 13 teams in SEC). Thats more than half of the conference in the top 25 at one point. And last year it should have been Auburn and USC in the championship game. OKlah. had no business there, Just my 2cc

I'll Second That

I was thinking the same thing in regards to the Big12, I don't want to start an argument, but I feel that conference is quite overrated. I also feel Texas is overrated, I have had the chance to watch them several times this year, they seem like a one trick pony. Vince Young is amazing, but he is really their only offensive weapon, if he gets tattoed, which he will against a good defense, Texas will be helpless. I guess we will have to see, I just think with the amazing weapons that can explode at any time. I think it will be Texas and USC in the champ game, with USC winning easily, just like they have stomped Oklahomas ass the last couple years.

we're talking big ten, not Big 12. Big 12 is horrible. I believe 100% the big ten is better than the SEC. Talk about teams that have been in the top 25 this year for the big ten: Ohio State, Michigan, Northwestern, Penn State, Purdue, Michigan State, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa. That's 8 out of 11, not too shabby if you want to go by that standard.

Like everything else, opinions will vary. But I'd put Florida, Alabama, Auburn, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, LSU, Arkansas against those teams you mentioned. Ex: I'd take Lsu over Penn State, Auburn or Georgia over Ohio State......Most of the teams I mentioned only lose to other teams listed in the SEC. I give credit to Ohio State,Michigan, & Michiga State as far as consistancy, being good year in and year out( Northwestern had a decent year this yr). But being consistant as a whole, Georgia, Auburn, Florida, Lsu, & Tennessee are almost always in the top 25. But like I stated before, Lsu would have givin USC all they could handle last year and maybe this year also

Good stuff

Well I can tell you this, USC will not stomp all over Texas..Why? USC DID have good corners and an overall kickass Defense, but they have lost like 6 or 7 starters to injury. No shit, their D is beat up, which is why we have seen teams playing USC putting up or matching USC's offensive production. Fresno scored over 40! Know what I mean?

I think the Big 10 and the SEC are about even IMO, both are powerhouse divisions, and both produce champions.

I think USC has the best offense in the country, I mean they are surrounded by weapons and VERY smart QB. The QB under Leinhart is no chump either, and is gonna continue the USC QB tradition as of late -- kid has a ridiculous arm, and is very mobile.

I also feel bad for Oregon, 10-1 with the only loss coming from the NAtl. Champs... Good team the ducks are -- as Yoda would put it LOL.

Usually I root for underdogs, but I cannot help but root for the Trojans... From the coaching staff, the players, to the school and its fans, the mentality and faith they have in themselves is very admirable.

ND -- A lot of people hated on the Irish and what can they say now? "Ty William's players??" To me that is a crock, he may have recruited them, but they certainly didn't flourish under his system. This team has heart and QB Brady Quinn is the prototype QB for the NFL. I enjoyed watching thier games, and Wiess DID have a lot to do with thier success IMO.

Apple Cup: After WSU (hell ya!) beat the Huskies, the WSU students rushed the field to congradulate the Cougs. What happened next was the Washinton fans then rushed the field after several little altercations started between cougar and husky players. It kinda got a little ugly, but not really that bad.
After the game Ty Williamham had a press conference and (I'm sorry but the more I listen to this guy, the more he annoys me) he starts speaking very slowly and methodically (which is fine) but then he just keeps on going making the whole ordeal seem WAY bigger than it was, and I think he was trying to distract the focus that his team got beat at home. HEll all Bill Doba said was there is no room for that in College FB, and it will not happen again, the kids played their butts off. <--- thats more like it Caoch Doba.

Georgia is incredibly overrated, Shockley is a tight end playing QB, same with Russell at LSU. Florida is absolutely pitiful as shown by it's loss to South Carolina and Tennessee, year in and year out HAS been good, but the run is over. I'll give you Auburn..oh, and Arkansas, are you serious? The big ten only has two traditionally bad teams, Illinois and Indiana. Not so with the SEC, you have South Carolina (although Spurrier will change that), Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Mississippi and Mississippi St. Arkansas did have a nice run for awhile there too, but I think that's done too. The Big Ten may not always have the best teams at the top (Like LSU in '02 or Auburn last year), they are the deepest year in and year out.

Georgia and Lsu overrated??????? Holy Shit I've heard it all now:eek: Believe what you want. This year Tennesse did suck but over the past decade, Tennessee, Florida and Lsu could hang with anyone period. Now for Penn State (not traditionally bad?), When was the last time they had a winning season other than this year??Minn, NWu, & Iowa??? Come on, do they ever crack the top 10? For my own sake, you can have this disagreement. It means nothing ;)

Um, Penn State has had a pretty good run for over the past, I don't know, 40+ years...LMAO, hence the reason Joe Paterno is #2 all time in D-I wins to Bobby Bowden. Iowa has averaged 10 wins over the past four years (was preseason #4 in the nation) as well as being a power in the 80's under Hayden Fry with Chuck Long at QB; Minnesota is a victim of playing in a real conference and has tough teams year after year. Northwestern went to the Rose Bowl in 95 and the Citrus Bowl in 96 and has been to multiple bowls since. I'll pit the top Big Ten QB's against the SEC any day. Drew Tate, Chad Henne, Drew Stanton, Bret Basanez, Troy Smith, Michael Robinson, against the likes of Chris leak (his stats came against teams like Kentucky), DJ Shockley, JeMarcus Russell, Brodie Croyle (who has no weapons), Jay Cutler...only SEC QB worth anything is Brandon Cox, and he's young.

Big Ten offensive lineman and RB's are always among the best in the nation too. Maroney at Minnesota is a STUD, plus Brian Calhoun (Wisconsin), Sutton (NU), Hunt (PSU), Hart and Jackson (Michigan) and on and on. SEC is full of raw talent, Big Ten is full of football players.

Title Game is Rose Bowl

I really don't see how USC can be beaten, if they get past UCLA, they have an entire month to get everyone rested and ready for Texas. Sure their defense is beat up now, but a month should give them plenty of time to rest and recover some of those injured defensive players. Even if Texas wants to get into a track meet with USC, they can do that, USC is hardly a slouch on offense and Texas is hardly what I would call a defensive stalwart. Plus they are playing in Pasadena, basically home field advantage for the National Championship. So, barring some unforseen occurance i.e. Leinart, Bush getting hurt, USC will roll, again.

I don't think USC has the linebackers to stop Vince Young. Ohio State matched up well with their linebackers, and Texas still beat them. I think USC/Texas will be a good game, but I think Texas will win.

My prediction will stand, if they play, Darnell Bing will give Vince Young the Brian Dawkins treatment. That is, teach him not to run so much. The guy is talented, but how is he going to make it at the next level if he runs so much? He will get stuck.
