Selling on ebay is pretty simple.. The MAIN most important thing is your title, cuz this is how people find your item.. You can never put enough info in the title, and you wanna be as descriptive as possible and have as many "hit" words in there as you can fit.. For example my buddy had an expensive purse from his ex-gf, and I was helping him list it.. I had him put something "brown fur suede coach purse handbag tote", so that way typing any combination of those words is gonna bring it up in a search query.. Definitely no misspellings and make sure everything is spaced properly..
Secondly you wanna make sure you have a good camera to take pics with.. Make the pics look as professional as possible, framed perfectly, on a neutral background like a white or black sheet.. You wanna have a nice full view pic that will show up on the search query, and then throw a couple more in that show details if necessary..
Then on the description just hype it up, while still being honest.. Some people will go to other websites to get the actual technical specs on the item to put there, but depending on what it is, that's not necessary sometimes.. If the item has a serial or model numbers, you wanna throw those in there too.. Maybe use a big font, colored if you want, and just make it look good.
Some items just sell themselves on Ebay, like video games and some types of electronics - you don't have to go overboard on the listing and you're still gonna get solid money for it.. And lastly, if the item is something that you KNOW is gonna sell good, you don't have to put a high starting price on the auction.. You can actually search completed listings for items to see what they've going for.. So if you kno your item is definitely gonna bring in a certain amount, just start it at 99 cents, which will get the action started quickly with alot of bids and people watching the auction.. You actually get charged more money if you put a high amount to start anyways.. Starting it at 99 cents may not be a good idea for certain items tho that people aren't regularly searching for, and someone could end up getting a huge steal on it.. What people do other times, is make a "buy it now" price, which is an amount they're willing to let it go for, without any bidding.. And again you can see what items have been going for by searching completed listings..
